Subject: Embrace Divine Blessings: Shravana Masam & Varalakshmi Vratam 🙏 - Aug 17 to Sep 24, 2023 🌙

    Shravana Masam

Aug 17 to Sep 24, 2023

As we step into the sacred lunar month of Shravana, a profound opportunity for spiritual transformation awaits. Beginning two weeks after Guru Purnima, Shravana Masam holds the power to alleviate restlessness, worry, and depression through the grace of Mother Lakshmi. By worshiping her during this auspicious month, we invite her divine presence to dispel the eight hardships of life, known as the ashta kashtas.

During Shravana Masa, the abundant grace of Mother Lakshmi envelops us. This sacred period is dedicated to the worship of Sri Maha Lakshmi Devi. Notably, Tuesdays and Fridays emerge as significant days for connecting with any form of Divine Mother. In the context of Shravana, these days hold even greater potency, offering a gateway to her blessings.

Among the days of significance, the Fridays and Tuesdays within Shravana are known as Shravana Sukravaras and Shravana Mangalavaras. These days are uniquely powerful for venerating Sri Mahalakshmi Devi and Gauri Devi, the Divine Mother and consort of Lord Shiva. By observing these days, we tap into an intensified connection with the divine feminine energy.

Varalakshmi Vratam

Aug 25, 2023

A pinnacle of Shravana's devotion, Sri Vara Lakshmi Vratam on Aug 25, 2023, beckons. On this holy day, Sri Maha Lakshmi Devi showers her maternal love and spiritual blessings upon those who perform puja. The term "Vara" signifies a boon, and thus, this day is when the Divine Mother fulfills noble wishes. By worshiping Sri Vara Lakshmi, we invoke good health, knowledge, family welfare, noble positions, fame, prestige, and wealth.

Under the Divine guidance of our beloved Mother, Karunamayi Sri Sri Sri Vijayeswari Devi, sacred homas, pujas, abhishekams, Varalakshmi vratam will be performed at the Manidweepa Maha Samsthanam, Amma's Penusila Ashram in India.

Lets pray to Sri Maha Lakshmi on this day, to help us receive Her Divine Grace and drive away the ashta kashtas,

which are the eight types of hardship that people face in life.

"With every mantra, the heart must become a lotus to be offered to Divine Mother."
