The following is a translation of a recent letter written in Telugu by
Her Holiness Amma Sri Karunamayi where she explains the reason for our
current challenging times and the possible remedies.
Embodiment of Divine Souls, Amma’s most beloved children, I
love you so much from the bottom of my heart children.
How are you all doing? People all around the world are
confined and are not allowed to leave their homes. This is a situation which
has never happened in the past but as we had previously discussed. In the year
2020 due to Gruha Bandana Yogam (*) we all are facing this “stay-at-home”
situation all around the world. In the year 2020 we have four Kala Sarpa Doshams
(**) which is why people all around the world are facing all kinds of problems.
One of the Kala Sarpa Doshams is Kala Bandana Yogam which is what we all
are experiencing. Kala Bandana Yogam ties humans in such a way that they are
unable to do anything even like a simplest thing such as going to the temple. Everywhere
around the world due to the coronavirus pandemic there is so much suffering,
untimely death, sickness and unemployment.
To eliminate this coronavirus pandemic there is mention of a
special puja in the scriptures. This special puja will start on May 7th
Vaisakha Purnima (Full moon day) and will continue for 5 days. At the ashram (Manidweepa Maha Samsthanam) in front of Sri Shankar Bhagwan, we will install a large
Trishulam (Trident) and will place 108 deepams around it which are made from
clay, vibhuthi, chandanam, saffron, Kasturi (musk) and mixed with Ganga water. For
the five faces of Lord Shiva (Panchamukhi lingam), we will use five colors
yellow, red, green, white and rose color wicks and five varieties of oils to
light the 108 deepam lamps.
This special puja will begin on May 7 Vaisakha
Purnima with Sri Ekadasha Rudra Maharudra Yagam. People with special requests
can participate in this special puja. The Maha Sankalpam for this special puja is
to eradicate disease and suffering in the world.
All the sufferings, disease, problems, troubles around the
world are offered to Lord Rudra in this Ekadasha Rudra Maharudra Yagam as an
offering. This special puja is performed to destroy all the sufferings from the
world. At the auspicious time when the 108 deepam are lit it is known as “Deepa
Prajwalitha Yogam” and special sankalpam will be done to eradicate sufferings
around the world.
Even though the whole of India is suffering due to the “Kala
Bandana Yogam” the daily pujas are still being performed in Tirumala and all
other temples from Kasi to Kanyakumari. The Thrissur Pooram festival celebrated
in Kerala for the past 6 centuries did not happen due to the lockdown. Due to Kala
Bandana Yogam there is total silence around the country, people are suffering
being confined in their homes and many people have
monetary problems due to unemployment.
To overcome all these above problems, chant the following
mantra daily 108 times. By chanting this mantra all the problems can be
destroyed.

and sufferings in your life but there is always an opportunity available to win
over all these sufferings.

* Gruha bandana yogam in Vedic astrology is
a planetary affliction that basically indicates being placed under restraint,
arrest, capture, detention, confinement, imprisonment, bondage, incarceration
and the like, on account of circumstances beyond one's control or by opponents
or by concerned authorities for no reason or on criminal charges for
infringement law or by placing restrictions on freedom for political reasons. ** There are many yogas and doshas in Vedic
astrology. If all the planets are positioned between Rahu (the planet that ends
harmful effects) and Ketu (the planet that poses threats) then it is called “Kala
Sarpa Dosha” and it is a very malefic dosha in most cases. In some cases it has
the power to be beneficial.
