It has been inspiring to see the outpouring of love and devotion and the number of sign-ups
for our last Shiva Panchakshari Japam. Devotees from over 85
countries were united in chanting the mantra almost 60 million (6 crore) times in a period of 6 weeks. Her Holiness, Amma Sri Karunamayi has been highlighting the
significance of the Shiva Pachakshari over the last several weeks during Her virtual divine discourses. Amma has stated that the essence of Rudram is Shiva Panchakshari. Chanting Shiva Panchakshari
is as powerful as chanting the Rudram. The five holy syllables occur precisely at the center of Rudram in the 8th anuvakam and capture its entire
essence. The Panchakshari Mantra is the very essence of Shiva, constituting the
power of the universe, the five elements, and directly stimulates chakras
in the body of thesadhak.
Amma has called upon Her children once again to
restart the japam to bring about much needed auspiciousness and healing of Mother Earth. Let us all come together during
this auspicious Saran Navaratri time for a 51 day sandhana of chanting
Shiva Panchakshari to supercharge ourselves. It will take approximately
20-25 minutes to chant 1080 (10 malas). The 51 day sadhana will begin on the first day of Navaratri (Oct. 17) and will end on Dec. 7.
