As more people suffer, we’ve seen a surge in global kindness and people taking proactive steps to generate solutions for all. From grocery shopping for the elderly to delivering meals or offering free classes online, acts of kindness during the coronavirus pandemic are providing uplifting moments of joy in a world beset by anxiety. As these small actions repeat - and scale - we see a habit of daily kindness emerging globally.

As a global community, we can mourn this moment of extreme crisis while also finding the opportunity to support one another. We each have the power to make an impact with acts of generosity, no matter how small, and to ensure the sustainability of organizations like ours that are crucial to the care and support of our communities.
Tomorrow, May 5, 2020, people all around the world are coming together to tap into the  power of human connection and strengthen communities at the grassroots level. 

We will be one of those participating organizations in #GivingTuesdayNow and we need your help to provide essential groceries and food for everyone in our global communities facing challenges during this time.

You can help us reach more people to ensure that everyone has access to nutritious food. Your support is crucial to our efforts at these trying times. We need $100,000 to help us achieve our goal to provide food and groceries to below poverty line families, seniors, and hourly workers.

By joining the #GivingTuesdayNow movement, you’re proving that in times of uncertainty, generosity can bring the whole world together.  
Here is how you can get ready to give: 
  •     Give.  On May 5, go to www.smvatrust.org/smva-trust-food-donation and donate.
   •      Follow.  Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram and invite your friends to do the same. 
   •      Spread the word.  Encourage your friends and family to join you in creating real impact on May 5 by sharing what our mission means to you and why you support our organization. Make sure to use hashtag #GivingTuesdayNow.
