It's Einstein's Birthday and Don Harrington Discovery Center is counting down to Pi Day on 3.14 at 1:59 PM (Pi = 3.1415926)! There will be fun activities, demonstrations, and of course.... pie! Special demonstrations will be held on the hour from 12 to 3 PM, your admission also includes PIE and the most fun you will ever have with math.

Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum opens its newest exhibit on February 27th. This cool exhibit features over 200 rocks, minerals, and gems highlighting the dynamic and intense geologic history of this region and beyond. Come be dazzled by the richness of their color, texture, shape, and intricate patterns.

The Panhandle Prohibition

The Panhandle Prohibition Exhibition takes you back to the Texas Panhandle in the 1920s. Learn the diversity of music and opinions in our very own recreated speakeasy complete with augmented reality and get your very own mugshot. Understand fashion, consumerism, and politics of the day while listening to some great jazz.

Go Figure includes the work of six artists who use the human figure in their work. Each of these artists' unique interpretations of human form reflects back to the viewer an insight into the human condition. View these fantastic pieces at the Amarillo Museum of Art during their normal business hours.

From Here to There

Explore the science of how things move by land, sea, and air at The Don Harrington Discovery Center's new traveling exhibit! Lift, launch, and levitate as you experiment with hands-on exhibits that make learning about gravity, friction, and laws of motion fun. You can have fun at this exhibit during DHDC's normal business hours.

Explore the idea of home through artworks from AMoA’s Permanent Collection.  Georgia O’Keeffe chose to paint the view out her window.  Douglas Kent Hall captured the ‘magical’ light of the ancient Taos Pueblo.  Russell Lee photographed the homes of everyday Americans during the Great Depression.
