Slurring Bee

On February 4th at 7 PM, LIT Arcade Bar is holding this adult spelling bee that is sure to test your spelling skills! Enjoy one free spelling juice drink to calm those nerves before you start spelling words. There is a $4 entry fee, and an (at least) $50 cash prize for 1st place.

Geeks Who Drink brings the nation's best live hosted pub quiz to Six Car Pub & Brewery! Join them on February 5th at 7:30 PM for eight rounds of audio, visual, and live hosted trivia. The quiz is free to play and prizes will be given for answering bonus questions and to top teams!

The Don Harrington Discovery Center is brewing up some fun with this popular annual AfterDark event on February 7th at 7 PM! For just $50, you can enjoy live music, plenty of craft beer, pub-inspired food and cooking with beer demonstrations, beer talks, sample whiskey, and so much more!

My Heart is Not Blind: A Visit with Michael Nye

Hear from Curator, Michael Nye, at Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum opens the traveling exhibition, My Heart is Not Blind. The exhibition of photography and audio by Michael Nye documents seven years of collecting the stories and experiences of people with vision loss. The lecture will be preceded by the annual Friends of Southwestern Art Meeting. This free event will be held at the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum on February 7th at 6 PM.

Original Team Roping

Looking for a taste of real Texas entertainment on your trip? How about a rodeo event? Team roping (also known as heading and heeling) is a rodeo event that features a steer and two mounted riders. You can watch this event at the Amarillo Tri-State Exposition Amarillo National Center on February 8th starting at 9 AM.

German is a self-described citizen artist, and explore the power of art and love as a transformative force in the dynamic cultural exosystem of communities and neighborhoods.

Native Lifeways of the Plains

This exhibit showcases the material culture of the indigenous people of the Great Plains. Among the key artifacts featured are Quanah Parker’s headdress and lance, the Kiowa calendar, and a recently conserved breastplate dating circa 1880. Select pieces from the museum’s art and photographic collections are included to help contextualize the objects within the scope of traditional lifeways. See this exhibit during regular museum hours until May 2020.
