The River and The Wall

See a screening of "The River and The Wall" directed by Ben Masters on November 19th at 6 PM. Following the documentary, there is a Q & A session with the director. This documentary encompasses the Texas borderlands in one film as five friends venture on a 1,200-mile journey to document the Rio Grande in a race before the wall is built. This event is free and popcorn will be provided by Groovy Pop.

Friends Trivia Night and DIY!

On November 19th at 6:30 PM, join Board & Brush and create your own unique wood sign! You select a wood project from their gallery, they'll provide the materials and instruct you step-by-step to create a beautiful piece to bring home. The cost is $68 for adults.

Filled with warm humor and tremendous heart, this show tells the story of a group of friends who have spent their lives sharing drinks, secrets, and laughs while working together on the factory floor. Don't miss this Pulitzer Prize drama in Amarillo Little Theatre's Adventure Space on November 21st at 7:30 PM, November 22nd and 23rd at 8 PM, and November 24th at 2:30 PM.

Yellow City Sounds Live: Courtney Patton & Jason Eady

These Texas Country/Americana singer-songwriters will close out the 2019 Yellow City Sounds Live Concert Series, and you won't want to miss it! This wife-and-husband duo's intimate concert will be held at 7 PM  on November 21st at Panhandle PBS' studio at 2408 S. Jackson St. Admission is $10, but space is limited!

Hockey Game

Come out and Cheer for the Amarillo Bulls as they take on the competition at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex! This week's games are November 22nd and 23rd at 7:05 PM. Tickets are $14 for adults and $9 for kids under 12.

Tejon Street Corner Thieve and Yes Ma'am

This internationally touring act is making their stop in Amarillo at Leftwoods on November 22nd at 8 PM. The band has become notorious for their shenanigans and over the top live performance. They've captured the hearts of show goers everywhere and they're sure to capture yours too!

Local vendors will join Bar Z Winery to showcase their products just in time for the holiday season! Cowgirls and Cowboys in the West offers a western adventure tour that celebrates the heritage of the Real West with their various tour offerings and horseback ride tours on the edge of Palo Duro Canyon! 

Cattle, Cowboys, & Culture

This is a special exhibition at PPHM, showcasing the shared heritage between Amarillo and Kansas City through material objects and artifacts, including saddles, photographs, letters, architectural renderings other functional goods in the PPHM collections. See this exhibit during regular museum hours until December 2019.

How does the mass of an object affect the way it vibrates or the sounds that it makes? Find out this summer with this BRAND NEW exhibit produced by the Don Harrington Discovery Center! See this exhibit during regular hours until December 2019.

Biennial 600: Textile + Fiber Exhibition

AMoA Biennial 600: Textile + Fiber is the eighth in an ongoing series of juried biennial exhibitions exploring specific areas of artistic practice, material, and content. Artworks were selected from entries submitted by artists residing within a 600-mile radius of Amarillo, Texas. AMoA received over 500 artwork entries for this year’s Biennial 600. Artworks from more than 60 artists are included in the exhibition. Come to the Amarillo Museum of Art during regular museum hours to check out this inspiring exhibit on display until December 22nd.

All Charged Up

The Don Harrington Discovery Center wants to spark your curiosity of the wonders of electricity in this interactive exhibit. Just as Ben Franklin engaged in hands-on experimentation, you will too! Come by during regular museum hours for this hair-raising exhibit.

Native Lifeways of the Plains

This exhibit showcases the material culture of the indigenous people of the Great Plains. Among the key artifacts featured are Quanah Parker’s headdress and lance, the Kiowa calendar, and a recently conserved breastplate dating circa 1880. Select pieces from the museum’s art and photographic collections are included to help contextualize the objects within the scope of traditional lifeways. See this exhibit during regular museum hours until May 2020.
