Working Ranch Cowboy Association's World Championship Rodeo
|
WRCA seeks to "Promote ranching on a National and International level and to preserve the lifestyle of the working ranch cowboy". A trade show takes place on the morning of each day. The schedule can be found on their website and includes Jr. Youth Cow Horse Championship, Ranch Horse Show, and of course, the 24th World Championship Ranch Rodeo. Budweiser Clydesdale Carriage Parade
|
Kicking off the Working Ranch Cowboy Associations World Championship Rodeo, eight famous Budweiser Clydesdales and a carriage will assemble in the north parking lot at the Civic Center and make their way through Downtown Amarillo. On November 6th at 4 PM, the parade will make its way along SE 3rd Ave to Polk Street, up to 10th Ave, and back over to Buchanan.

Savor the Goods with Tanner Burnam
|
Join Panhandle PBS and West Texas Chefs Table for the final dinner of the 2019 season of Savor the Goods: Local Cuisine, Ethnic Flair at the Amarillo Botanical Gardens. Chef Tanner Burnam of Northwest Texas Healthcare System/Sodexo will be featured with his craft menu inspired by French cuisine. Tickets $75, and the dinner will be held on November 7th from 6 to 8 PM.

Veteran's Day Parade, Breakfast, and Lunch
|
Honoring all who served, the 2019 Veterans Day Parade will take place on November 9th at 10 AM in Downtown Amarillo. The route will be from 11th and Polk to 5th and Harrison. Look up for special flyovers by the Honor Flight Squadron! Before the parade, the Texas Panhandle Honor Flight will hold a breakfast at the Amarillo Senior Citizens Association from 7 to 10 AM. After the parade, there will be a welcome home event sponsored by The Amarillo VA Healthcare System at the Tri-State Fairgrounds Rex Baxter Building from 11:30 AM to 1 PM.

Fall Train Fest
|
The Amarillo Railroad Museum is dedicated to the preservation of the rich railroad heritage of the Texas Panhandle through the preservation of railroad equipment pertinent to industries of the Texas Panhandle through Model Railroading. On November 9th from 10 AM to 4 PM they invite you to join them and marvel at what will be the largest HO model railroad in the region when completed.

Biennial 600: Textile + Fiber Exhibition
|
AMoA Biennial 600: Textile + Fiber is the eighth in an ongoing series of juried biennial exhibitions exploring specific areas of artistic practice, material, and content. Artworks were selected from entries submitted by artists residing within a 600-mile radius of Amarillo, Texas. AMoA received over 500 artwork entries for this year’s Biennial 600. Artworks from more than 60 artists are included in the exhibition. Come to the Amarillo Museum of Art during regular museum hours to check out this inspiring exhibit on display until December 22nd.

The Don Harrington Discovery Center wants to spark your curiosity of the wonders of electricity in this interactive exhibit. Just as Ben Franklin engaged in hands-on experimentation, you will too! Come by during regular museum hours for this hair-raising exhibit.

Native Lifeways of the Plains
|
This exhibit showcases the material culture of the indigenous people of the Great Plains. Among the key artifacts featured are Quanah Parker’s headdress and lance, the Kiowa calendar, and a recently conserved breastplate dating circa 1880. Select pieces from the museum’s art and photographic collections are included to help contextualize the objects within the scope of traditional lifeways. See this exhibit during regular museum hours until May 2020.
