Wonderland Amusement Parks Opens for its 69th Season!

On June 19th, WOW returns to Amarillo! Wonderland can't wait to see your smiling faces and take part in a Texas Panhandle summer tradition. Wonderland is taking precautions for your safety and asks you to take a look at what they're doing on their website.

Hodgetown to Host Two 2020 Texas Collegiate League Baseball Teams

Baseball has been missed in the Texas Panhandle, but it's back at Hodgetown starting June 30th! Games will include all the fun of MILB that Sod Poodles fans love. The Amarillo Sod Dogs and Amarillo Sod Squad will collectively play in 30 regular-season games from June 30th - August 2nd.

AMoA has missed its visitors! They have new exhibitions along with their permanent exhibits that you're sure to enjoy. Currently, the museum is only open Friday & Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM.

Music in the Gardens Featuring Monarch

Juneteenth Celebrations

Celebrate this momentous moment in American History commemorating the freedom of African Americans. Enjoy performances on Friday night, cheer and come together at the parade on Saturday morning, and continuing celebrating with the Amarillo community through music on Saturday evening. 

All Black Affair: Juneteenth Edition

Performances include:

  • Music By: Ant Clark, Arie Skye, JWood, Joshua Bonnet, JP the Rapper, and DJ Rilla Boy 
  • Poetry By: Retro Mental and Selena Diaz
  • Dance Performance By: Allie Boyd
  • Art Illustrator: Nina Wyre. 

The event will be held at In This Moment (707 S Polk) at 9 PM on June 19th. The Preferred Dress Code is Black.

Juneteenth Parade 2020

On June 20th starting at 10 AM. The Parade will begin at 901 N Hayden St. and continue to Bones Hooks Park at 2000 N Hughes St. Grab a chair, friends, and family and cheer on the parade as it passes by. Enjoy the area and stick around for more events later in the evening.

Grammy Award Winning Gospel Artist "The Walls Group"

Organizers are excited to announce The Walls Group will perform a live concert on June 20th at the Jewelle Allen Center Stage in Bones Hooks Park. At 7 PM, the concert will open with worship leaders Mr. Devlon Jones & Company and Mr. Todd Hunt Recording Artist.

Amarillo Community Market

On Saturday, June 20th from 9 AM to 1 PM, the Amarillo Community Market hosts live entertainment, activities, and shopping! Head to the Historic Santa Fe Depot at 401 S Grant St. for local produce, arts, food, and handmade items.

BBQ Concert Series Featuring American Petty - A Tribute to Tom Petty

On June 20th at 7 PM, Starlight Ranch Event Center continues its new dinner and entertainment series! Due to government regulations, only tables of six will be sold and must be purchased in advance. Your table includes a Texas-sized BBQ platter and great music from American Petty. A full bar is available for purchase and pets (on a leash) are welcome! The door opens at 7 PM and the concert starts at 9 PM.
