  • Art Opening at the Amarillo Museum of Art, October 11th from 6:30 to 9 PM. FREE. AMoA presents its Biennial 600: Textile + Fiber Exhibition! This is the eighth in an ongoing series of juried biennial exhibitions exploring specific areas of artistic practice, material, and content. 806.371.5050.
  • Texas Archeological Society 90th Annual Meeting at The Embassy Suites, October 11th at 7 PM. FREE. The speaker, Dr. Don G. Wyckoff, will focus on "Pondering Southern Plains Prehistory". After the presentation, there will be an Artifact Identification Session.
  • Amarillo Bull's Hockey Game at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex, October 11th and 12th at 7:05 PM. Come out to cheer on the Bulls as they take on the competition! 806.242.1122.
  • Maxwell's Pumpkin Farm October 11th from 5 to 9 PM, 12th from 10 AM to 9 PM, and 6th from 1 PM to 9 PM. $12.95 (online) $15.95 (at gate). Come out to enjoy their Giant Maze, Jumping Pillow, Wagon Ride, Tube Slides, Hayrides, and SO MUCH MORE! 806.373.9600.
  • Birding with Ranger Mark! at Palo Duro Canyon State Park Soapberry Day Use Area, October 12th at 7:30 AM. $8. Come out and see the fall flocks!  Dress for the weather and prepare for a short 1.5 mi walk on easy terrain at a slow pace. 806.488.2227.
  • 2019 Cornhole Tournament & October FeSSt at Starlight Ranch Event Center, October 12th from 9 AM to 5:30 PM. Bring the family out for a day of fun-filled with community booths, games, entertainment, AND a sausage cookoff! 806.556.4456.
  • Dino Day at Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum, October 12th from 1 to 4 PM. $5. Bring the family to PPHM where kids will be able to excavate a dig site, make fossils, see live animals, meet PBS' Buddy the Dinosaur, and more!  806.651.2244.
  • Prairie Dog Town Fork of the Red River Festival at Bar Z Winery, October 12th from 2 to 9:30 PM. $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Come celebrate Texas Wine Day! There will be Texas High Plains Wineries, food trucks, vendors, and live music! 806.488.2214.
  • Amarillo's Craft Beer and Bacon Fest at Amarillo Netplex, October 12th from 4 to 7 PM. $35. Sample beers from breweries and unique bacon dishes from local restaurants! This is a 21+ event. 806.355.9777.
  • Beatles vs Stones at Amarillo Civic Center Complex, October 13th at 7:30 PM. $30 - $65. Two of the greatest bands' tribute bands face off in a high-energy, adrenaline-pumping musical showdown! 806.378.3096.
