Events:

  • Friday, February 18th: Tippi Toes Boots and Bows Daddy Daughter Dance, Amarillo Botanical Gardens, 1400 Streit Dr, 6 PM - 7:30 PM Enjoy a fun, special evening of father-daughter bonding and meeting new friends with Tippi Toes! This event is open to the public. You do not have to be enrolled in Tippi Toes classes to attend.

  • Friday, February 18th: February Fungasm, Leftwoods, 25116th Ave, 10:00 PM, Yellow City Comedy returns to Leftwoods on Friday, February 18! Join them for a night of stand-up comedy from your favorite Yellow City comedians, and even the ones you hate! They've got quite the lineup for this show, so buckle up and get a few drinks in you, because you're going to be busting a gut all night long! $5 at the door.

  • Saturday, February 19th: Pioneer Gun Show, Amarillo Civic Center 401 S. Buchanan St, 9 AM - 5 PM, Admission: $8 for adults; Children under 13 are free. For booth information, please contact Faith Weathers at 806-567-8700.

  • Saturday, February 19th: Craftership Market, Wolflin Village, 2625 Wolflin Ave Amarillo, TX 79109 11 AM - 3 PM or until sold out. Shop local goods ranging from micro-greens to specialty jams and artisan crafts. After you're done shopping local, high-quality goods, check out the rest of the shops in the area.

  • Saturday, February 19th: Sourdough Basics by Baker’s Table, From 6th Collective, 18100 I-40 W, 2 PM - 3 PM, Join Bakers Table and From 6th Collective for their demonstration on making the perfect sourdough loaf. You’ll also get to take home your own starter with instructions on making bread

  • Saturday, February 19th: Ladies Craft Night - 90’s Trivia, The Art Plug-In, 4149 SW 34th Ave, 6 PM. The Art Plug-In is having a 90's trivia night. Bring your own project or choose something from their retail area. The winner receives a $25 gift certificate! Only $10 per person and it’s BYOB. Must be 21 or older to drink alcohol in the studio.

  

Exhibits:

  • Paradox in a POW Camp, Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum, 2503 Fourth Ave Canyon, TX, the exhibit is open until April 23, 2022, weekly from Tuesday through Saturday during regular museum hours. The exhibit is a collection of items cherished by a woman named Ann Cockrell Osburn, who was an employee at the prisoner of war camp located south of Hereford throughout World War II.

  • Achievement in Art: Celebrating 50 years of AMoA’s Collection, Amarillo Museum of Art 2200 S. Van Buren, Exhibit Dates January 15–March 27, 2022, This year’s Achievement in an Art exhibition is a celebration of the museum’s collection. The AMoA has purchased important artworks by notable artists including Georgia O’Keeffe, Grace Hartigan, James Brooks, Luis Jimenez, Andy Warhol, and Larry Bell among many others.

  • Go on a scavenger hunt for all of the beautifully painted horses that are part of Center City's Hoof Prints of the American Quarter Horse project sponsored by The American Quarter Horse Association. www.centercity.org/hoof-prints
