  • Friday & Saturday, February 11th & 12th: Valentine Couple’s Clay Class, Amarillo Art Institute, 13701 Plains Blvd, Take this clay class for a unique twist on your Valentine’s Date! Couples will watch a clay demonstration and try their own hand at throwing on a wheel. Attendees will also get the chance to glaze a premade vase and watch their piece transform into a beautiful metallic piece through the Raku firing process.

  • Saturday, February 12th: Craftership Market, Wolflin Village, 2625 Woflin Ave Amarillo, TX 79109 11 AM - 3 PM or until sold out. Shop local goods ranging from micro-greens to specialty jams and artisan crafts. After you're done shopping local, high-quality goods, check out the rest of the shops in the area.

  • Saturday, February 12th: Love is in the Air Sip & Shop, Purpose + Passion Boutique, 2612 Wolflin Village, Amarillo, TX 79109, join Purpose + Passion Boutique for a fun day of shopping and sips. Enjoy cookies from a local baker, Dipped in Velvet. Look for the hidden hearts in the store to win a prize.

  • Saturday, February 12th: CMA Trio for Violin, Clarinet, & Piano, Amarillo Botanical Gardens, 1400 Streit Dr, Amarillo TX 79106, 1:30 PM, Chamber Music at the Gardens returns. Texas Tech University faculty violinist Annie Chalex Boyle and pianist Daniel del Pino will join Amarillo Symphony principal clarinet Doug Storey. The trio will perform Debussy’s Premiere Rhapsodie along with trios by Darius Milhaud and noted American composer Paul Schoenfield. The Schoenfield trio program music draws on tunes inspired by the Chassidic Jews of Eastern Europe.

  • Saturday, February 12th: Galantines Evening Market, The Derrick Event Center, 814 S Taylor St #100, Amarillo, TX 79101, from 6 PM to 10 PM, enjoy over 30 booths and vendors, live music, cocktails, cupcakes, swag, and shopping.

  • Saturday, February 12th: Critters & Canvases, Amarillo Zoo, 700 Camanchero Trail, Amarillo, TX, Looking for a fun Valentine's Day date? Take your special someone to the Amarillo Zoo for a fun night of painting, light snacks, and animal encounters. Join Melissa Haney, from the Dandelion Studio, and zoo staff. Light snacks and all art supplies are provided.

  • Saturday, February 12th: Family Support Service Mardi Gras Party, Amarillo Civic Center, 401 S Buchanan St, Amarillo, Texas 79101, This major fundraising event includes live performances by The Band Monarch, catering by Girasol Bakery & Cafe as well as a casino and live auction to end the night.

Exhibits:

  • Paradox in a POW Camp, Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum, 2503 Fourth Ave Canyon, TX, the exhibit is open until April 23, 2022, weekly from Tuesday through Saturday during regular museum hours. The exhibit is a collection of items cherished by a woman named Ann Cockrell Osburn, who was an employee at the prisoner of war camp located south of Hereford throughout World War II.

  • Achievement in Art: Celebrating 50 years of AMoA’s Collection, Amarillo Museum of Art 2200 S. Van Buren, Exhibit Dates January 15–March 27, 2022, This year’s Achievement in an Art exhibition is a celebration of the museum’s collection. The AMoA has purchased important artworks by notable artists including Georgia O’Keeffe, Grace Hartigan, James Brooks, Luis Jimenez, Andy Warhol, and Larry Bell among many others.
