Have you made a stop by the Texas Panhandle War Memorial lately? If not, you're missing out! Their newly opened education center honors the efforts and sacrifice of veterans across the region, providing a place for reflection and healing. Don't forget to stop at the War Memorial Park, a beautiful park with monuments and flags dedicated to honor all of our military personnel.

Tickets for TEXAS Outdoor Musical now on sale

TEXAS is a family-friendly show set against an authentic tapestry of history, the show's fictional characters bring to life the stores, struggles, and triumphs of the settlers of the Texas Panhandle in the 1800's. Song and dance abound - and a generous helping of good ol' Texas humor too - with spellbinding lighting, special effects, and fireworks.

New Exhibit Opening at AMoA

The Amarillo Museum of Art presents this exhibition showcasing student art to recognize all the talented young artists in the Texas Panhandle. The exhibit consists of two parts: Student artworks from grade K-12 and portfolios of artworks from High School Seniors. Eligible artworks in the exhibit will be judged by Amarillo College Art Professors for 10 Best-of-Show Awards, one Best-of-Show Portfolio Award, Education Credit Union Georgia O'Keeffe Excellence in Art & Creativity Awards to one high school and one middle school entry, and the ECU Georgia O'Keeffe Scholarship.

Holi Festival of Colors

Of the many festivals in India, Holi is the most vibrant and joyous one of all. It is a celebration of the coming of Spring and all its beautiful and vibrant colors. Celebrate the coming of spring by covering yourself and your friends with vibrant color packets representing happiness, love, and the freedom to live vibrantly while dancing your heart out, eating food from different vendors, and enjoying other Indian favorites such as Bollywood music, coconut water, and more! Learn the diversity of music and opinions in our very own recreated speakeasy complete with augmented reality and get your very own mugshot. Understand fashion, consumerism, and politics of the day while listening to some great jazz.

Explore the science of how things move by land, sea, and air at The Don Harrington Discovery Center's new traveling exhibit! Lift, launch, and levitate as you experiment with hands-on exhibits that make learning about gravity, friction, and laws of motion fun. You can have fun at this exhibit during DHDC's normal business hours.

Rock of Ages

Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum opens its newest exhibit on February 27th. This cool exhibit features over 200 rocks, minerals, and gems highlighting the dynamic and intense geologic history of this region and beyond. Come be dazzled by the richness of their color, texture, shape, and intricate patterns.
