The pass works as a digital coupon book that gives you discounts on entry to attractions, free apps, and perks at bars and restaurants, along with access to discounted rates at hotels. Texas Panhandle War Memorial's NEW Education Center

Have you made a stop by the Texas Panhandle War Memorial lately? If not, you're missing out! Their newly opened education center honors the efforts and sacrifice of veterans across the region, providing a place for reflection and healing. Don't forget to stop at the War Memorial Park, a beautiful park with monuments and flags dedicated to honor all of our military personnel.

The Amarillo Opera Presents: Hansel und Gretel

Headlining our inspirational and innovative season, Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel tells the story that you all know and love with music that you will soon love. Hänsel and Gretel find themselves lost in the forbidden forest only to come across the fantastical candy house of an old woman. After feasting on her many confections, the two siblings soon find that it is they who are on the menu. Framed by the artistic genius of Fenlon Lamb and Papermoon Productions, this opera is not one to be missed!

Hoodoo Mural Festival

Over the span of a week, local and non-local artists transformed five walls in downtown Amarillo into beautiful works of art. The murals have become one of the most talked-about features of downtown and have started to attract visitors from around the country. This year's festival on October 2nd will include food trucks, kid-friendly activities, beverages, live music, and of course, the unveiling of FIVE new murals in downtown!

Looking Forward Art Exhibition

Open 24/7 at the Cerulean Gallery in the Embassy Suites Downtown, this fundraising exhibition for the Amarillo Art Institute highlights 20 local artists who are affiliated with AAI!

Saturday Night Cruise on Historic Route 66

On Saturday starting at dusk, cruise on over to the Route 66 Historic District for unstructured fun! Don't feel like cruising? Bring a lawn chair and hang out at the Generation Next Church parking lot and watch as they go by!

Texas Photographic Society's 34th Annual Members Only Show

The Amarillo Museum of Art presents this exhibition during regular museum hours until October 10th. The exhibition features 50 expressive images juried by esteemed photographers Jill Skupin and Dan Burkholder.

Women of Abstract Expressionism in the American West

The Amarillo Museum of Art presents this exhibition through October 10th during regular museum hours. Artworks by a number of important artists including Elaine de Kooning, Louise Nevelson, Jeanne Reynal, and Jane Wilson, among others. These women are an important part of the Abstract Expressionist movement during post-WWII era in New York City.

The Panhandle Prohibition

On January 17, 1920, a new day dawned for most of the USA as the 18th Amendment went into effect. Americans could no longer manufacture, sell, or transport alcoholic beverages. The Temperance movement took Texas early but now had an impact on the rest of the US from organized crime to underground bars to the fashion of the day. This exhibit will be held at Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum until October 2nd!

Rock of Ages

Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum opens its newest exhibit on February 27th. This cool exhibit features over 200 rocks, minerals, and gems highlighting the dynamic and intense geologic history of this region and beyond. Come be dazzled by the richness of their color, texture, shape, and intricate patterns.
