Mask Recommendation

As you're enjoying our city, please remember to wear your masks! The CDC recommends that people wear masks in public settings, at events and gatherings, and anywhere they will be around other people. Masks are required on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation.

Sign-Up for the Panhandle Savings Pass!

The pass works as a digital coupon book that gives you discounts on entry to attractions, free apps, and perks at bars and restaurants, along with access to discounted rates at hotels. Once redeemed, you can easily access your pass via text, email, or “app”. The pass will guide you through the Panhandle based on your location, so you never have to worry about your next stop or wasting time.

Texas Panhandle War Memorial's NEW Education Center

Have you made a stop by the Texas Panhandle War Memorial lately? If not, you're missing out! Their newly opened education center honors the efforts and sacrifice of veterans across the region, providing a place for reflection and healing. Don't forget to stop at the War Memorial Park, a beautiful park with monuments and flags dedicated to honor all of our military personnel.

Horseback Riding with Cowgirls and Cowboys in the West

If you are a horse lover, history buff, or just want to have an incredible experience of a lifetime - this is your place! Take a breath of fresh air under the beautiful West Texas sky on an authentic ride across Cowgirls and Cowboys' thousands of acres of Texas land located on the rim of the exquisite Palo Duro Canyon.

Starlight Theater Free Summer Concert Series

On June 1st from 7 to 9 PM, Join Amarillo Parks & Recreation at Sam Houston Park (4101 Line Ave) for free music, local food trucks, vendors, and family-friendly fun!

High Noon on the Square

High Noon on the Square is back on June 2nd from 12 to 1 PM on the Potter County Courthouse lawn (501 S Fillmore St.). Enjoy free live music and entertainment and a delicious lunch available for $8!

Coors Cowboy Club Rodeo & Cattle Drive

On June 3rd starting at 6 PM rodeo festivities kick off in downtown Amarillo with the annual cattle drive! The drive will start at 11th & Polk Street and make its way to the fairgrounds where the cattle will remain on displays during the Coors Cowboy Club Rodeo. Keep an eye out for periodic staged old west shootouts along the route!

On June 4th & 5th at the Amarillo Tri-State Expo, check out the rodeo, food, shopping, dancing, and excitement! This traditional ranch rodeo features real cowboys competing in events such as saddle bronc riding, wild cow milking, and more!

Music in the Gardens

On June 3rd from 7 to 9 PM, head to the beautiful Amarillo Botanical Gardens for live music, dance lessons (starting at 6 PM), and food trucks! This week's performance will be Geezers Gone Wild.

Bairos Conducts Mahler 4

Join Maestro Bairos, the orchestra, and guest soloist Brandit Sutton for a performance of Gustov Mahler's ethereal Symphony No 4. The last movement of this symphony describes a vision of heavenly life, brilliantly portrayed by the orchestra and soloists, and experienced by the audience of the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts. Performances will be held on June 4th and 5th at 6 PM and 8:30 PM.

Noodle Bowl Presented by Taste of Thai Restaurant

On June 4th head out to Amarillo's only semi-pro & professional karting track, Silver Dollar Speedway!

Cadillac Ranch Food Truck Friday

On June 4th, 5th, and 6th make plans to stop at the iconic Cadillac Ranch for food trucks and leave your mark on this piece of Americana! They'll have various food trucks on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Don't forget your spray paint!

Starlight Ranch Event Center Concerts

Read Southall Band

Born and raised in the heart of Oklahoma, Read Southall brings a unique sound to country music. Growing up listening to everything from Hank Williams to Johnny Paycheck led him to fall in love with the soulful stories behind country music. The young artist quickly used these influences to find his fit in the genre.

The Read Southall Band will make its debut at Starlight Ranch on June 4th at 7 PM!

Asleep at the Wheel

It all started when Ray Benson, Floyd Domino, and Lucky Oceans, along with a Vermont farm boy named Leroy Preston; Virginian Chris O'Connell; and Gene Dobkin, a bass player and fellow classmate of Benson's from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio joined forces. They began with a simple goal: to play and help revive American roots music.

Asleep at the Wheel will perform live at June 5th at 7 PM!

TEXAS Outdoor Musical

TEXAS is a family-friendly show set against an authentic tapestry of history, the show's fictional characters bring to life the stores, struggles, and triumphs of the settlers of the Texas Panhandle in the 1800's. Dinosaur Discoveries: Ancient Fossils, New Ideas at PPHM

The Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum presents an engaging exhibition that will reveal a vivid picture of what living, breathing dinosaurs were really like! This exhibition introduces how current thinking about dinosaur biology has changed over the past two decades.

The Panhandle Prohibition

The Panhandle Prohibition Exhibition takes you back to the Texas Panhandle in the 1920s. Learn the diversity of music and opinions in our very own recreated speakeasy complete with augmented reality and get your very own mugshot. Understand fashion, consumerism, and politics of the day while listening to some great jazz.

Texas Panhandle Student Art Show

The Amarillo Museum of Art presents this exhibition showcasing student art to recognize all the talented young artists in the Texas Panhandle. The exhibit consists of two parts: Student artworks from grade K-12 and portfolios of artworks from High School Seniors. Eligible works will be judged by Amarillo College Art Professors.

From Here to There

Explore the science of how things move by land, sea, and air at The Don Harrington Discovery Center's new traveling exhibit! Lift, launch, and levitate as you experiment with hands-on exhibits that make learning about gravity, friction, and laws of motion fun. You can have fun at this exhibit during DHDC's normal business hours.

Rock of Ages

Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum opens its newest exhibit on February 27th. This cool exhibit features over 200 rocks, minerals, and gems highlighting the dynamic and intense geologic history of this region and beyond. Come be dazzled by the richness of their color, texture, shape, and intricate patterns.
