Don't miss Amarillo Museum of Art's newest exhibit, "In Our Own Words: Native Impressions" now until March 17, 2024. This is one in a series of American art exhibitions created through a multi-year, multi-institutional partnership formed by the Amon Carter Museum of American Art as part of the Art Bridges Cohort Program.
In Our Own Words: Native Impressions features a portfolio of twenty-six vibrantly colored printed portraits by living artists Daniel Heyman (b. 1963) and Lucy Ganje (b. 1949). The two collaborated in portraying present-day members of North Dakota Indian nations, including those around Standing Rock.
