| Today, I am celebrating LOVE and inviting you to celebrate its many expressions with me.
Last year, I wrote a blog titled “All LOVE Needs is YOU” about a profound experience of a lesson my Co-Author has been writing into my story for more than a decade now.
I’ve received so many opportunities to experience the truth:
What I want more than anything is to BE LOVE in the world.
Love doesn’t need me to grow a huge platform and break my income ceilings.
Love doesn’t need me to lose 50 lbs and get in the best shape of my life.
Love doesn’t need me to win the Wife or Mother of the Year Awards.
Love doesn’t need me to be a risk-taker or problem-solver, a spender or saver, etc.
Love doesn’t need me to go out and save the world with my message.
Love just needs ME.
And Love just needs YOU.
Love needs US.
…where we are.
…with these people.
…at this time.
Because without us, Love is a disembodied ideal. To us. And to them.
With us, Love has eyes to see the glory of the world we live in, the souls behind the eyes of others, the evidence of Its intention for all…
With us, Love has ears that can listen to the sounds of nature, the hum of well-oiled machine, the belly laughter of a happy baby…
Love has a nose and mouth that can delight in dark chocolate, roses, and the sweet scents of loved ones—that can speak words of affirmation, empathy, and understanding—that can tell stories that will help our world heal and evolve…
With us, Love has hands to wipe away tears, make music and art, create and eat delicious meals with others, write stories that inspire…
With us, Love incarnates—it becomes flesh and dwells in the world to see it, to bless it, and to invite us to deeper and deeper experiences of LOVE.
After 10 years of working with aspiring and seasoned messengers, I’m more convinced than ever of this truth:
Mindful messages and intentional words are vital, but they are NOT what catalyze and facilitate change in the world.
It’s the LOVE that we are BRINGING and BEING that opens the space for healing and transformation to occur.
It doesn’t matter how powerful our message framework is, how strong our voice is, how mindful our words are, or how amazing our facilitation skills. If we are not bringing and being the love, all we can hope to accomplish is inspiration and maybe some great insight.
But what keeps us from bringing and being the LOVE?
All those moments and st*ries in our past where LOVE was missing or miscommunicated or mistaken for something it wasn’t…
In the absence of LOVE, LIES were given room to emerge and grow.
We began to believe we are not worthy of being seen, heard, or loved.
We created st*ries about the experiences we had that simply aren’t true.
And, these st*ries are driving our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors unconsciously until we make them conscious and begin to work to rewrite and rewire them.

This is the real work for messengers—bringing LOVE back to the Characters [versions of us] in our old ST*RIES that have been crippled by the LIES.
But it’s not just messengers who have asked for support through this process of rewriting and rewiring st*ries from LIES to LOVE.
Two years ago, I was asked to expand my offerings to include non-messenger heroes—people who view themselves as change agents in their homes, workplaces, and communities and yet struggle to escape st*ry loops that are rooted in trauma or fear.
Quickly, I started developing a new website that would capture the broader scope of this work.
But there were obstacles at every turn that told me it wasn’t time and to just let go and do the work in front of me—the personal healing work and the actual work on my desk.
Then, all of a sudden…
Six months ago, my Co-Author began whispering to me that it was time, inspiring new st*ry-healing projects and programs to develop, and even freeing up the people I needed to help me with the website.
And here we are. It’s LOVE day. And the website is almost ready and I’m soooo ready. And it seems the world is now, too.
It’s time for us to unite to write truer
individual and collective stories.
The old ones clearly haven’t been empowering us, and many of our paradigms of change-making have failed us too.
So, over the next few days and weeks, I’ll be sharing the new website and the “new” paradigms of change-making, and inviting you to consider joining us at True To Intention and CocoonU, where we are focused on writing truer individual and collective stories.
