It was the beginning of 2007.
I stood in front of the mirror, looking into tired, dark, sad eyes -- trying to gather enough energy and courage to pull some nice clothes onto my heavier-than-ever body, plaster on a smile, and go to a networking meeting.
I was doing some great work in the world.
I was really helping aspiring teachers and struggling messengers.
I was impressing my mentors and guides.
I was raising this beautiful little boy that had dropped into my life.
I was helping a grandmother whose body and mind were beginning to slip.
But something wasn't right.
Maybe it was the fact that by the ripe old age of 27 years old, I'd already experienced:
- a spiritual crisis that led to a break of belonging from my loved ones and community
- a relationship crisis that broke my heart
- a career crisis that made me wonder if I was a complete failure (or idiot), walking away from six years of education and training
- and a financial crisis that made me feel so ashamed that I behaved like a monster toward my son when he begged me for a small stuffed animal that I simply couldn't afford
But something happened in March 2007.
Through a series of divinely-orchestrated moments, I was reconnected with what I call my Magic Egg -- my true intention, my soul purpose, my heart.
And I started to follow it.
Very quickly, everything began to change.
Over the last 12 years, my Heart has taken me places I never imagined going; and as you've seen, a good part of my mission is helping other people reconnect with their true intention, purpose, and heart.
I believe that as we all commit to aligning ourselves with our true intention, we will heal ourselves and then the world around us.
That's why I jumped at the opportunity to be interviewed by Jacqueline Bambenek -- the creator of the "Follow Your Heart" summit. Her mission is to assist in the restoration of peace in the heart of humanity, to bring greater joy into our lives, and to be true to our own hearts.
