A Broadcast from Beyond Time and Space:
We have unlimited access to a surplus of applicable wisdom in the Bible. It’s very much alive.
‘Bringing our question with us’ while doing due diligence in earnestly seeking / engaging God’s word – will produce answers. Tip: Be open to receive other answers. When we’re hanging an item on a wall and we ask someone to help us by standing back and offering feedback – we need external, objective perspective because we’re too close to the mission. In the same way, God’s words deliver insight from unique angles outside space and time, without bias. Open the Hands: Similar to the heart-posture-for-hunting mentioned above, when we want/need answers, it's best to unload our seeking from heavy expectations. This way we can remain open for divine packages of any shape, size or dimension. What’s Really Going On? When we’re driven to God for an answer, it helps to dial into the deeper purpose of drawing near. He’s at work, graciously allowing our desperation to move us toward Him for answers we’d never find without Him. Seeking works better when we’re aware our need for an answer – is an invitation. On our journey of finding answers, our mission is to become the kind of people who are better seekers, better askers and better listeners. |
