Homecoming Update Homecoming is nearly one month away!! If you haven't already now is the time to plan your first weekend of October in Evanston. This is an exciting year for both PIKE and Northwestern as the chapter is unveiling its brand new house (photos here) and the Wildcats will be playing what looks to be the game of the season under the lights at Ryan Field.
Friday Night: The Alumni Association has booked a private room at Nevin's in downtown Evanston from 7-10pm exclusively for Pikes and their guests. Pool, darts, and plenty of drinking will help start off the night. Feel free to roam to other bars in the downtown area (new bars include Farmhouse, World of Beer, and renovated Bat 17) to finish off the night.
Saturday Afternoon: All actives and alumni are invited to attend the open house hosted by the Housing Corporation at our new property 2313 Sheridan Road. Take a tour of the new house and check out the plans the Housing Corporation has in the months and years ahead. We'll have the grill fired up if anyone's hungry.
Saturday Evening: Head to the West Lot of Ryan Field and look for the PIKE flag waving high above the crowd. The West Lot Warriors are planning one of the best tailgates Northwestern has ever seen. Drinks, food, and a lot of football will start up as soon as the parking lot opens at 3pm (see below for payment). Kickoff is at 7pm. If you haven't purchased tickets to the game call the ticket office ASAP.
Book your spot today for the tailgate!!
Cost includes all you can eat and drink for the 4 hours leading up to the game. We will have multiple televisions broadcasting other live games via satellite and old NU highlights throughout the afternoon. Cost of the event also helps offset other out of pocket expenses (i.e. this email service). We will also have a credit card reader at the tailgate if you'd like to pay day of.
