This Thanksgiving, my heart is both heavy and full. Just a week ago, my family and I said goodbye to my father, a man whose life was a blessing beyond measure. Though the pain of his absence is fresh, I find myself leaning deeply into gratitude—for the love he gave, the memories he left, and the legacy of kindness and strength he passed down.
This year, I’m spending Thanksgiving apart from my children, but cherishing precious time with my mom, brother, and sister as we hold each other a little closer. It’s a reminder that even in the face of loss, there is so much to be thankful for: family, connection, and the opportunity to honor those we’ve loved by continuing to love.
To anyone finding this season difficult—whether due to loss, distance, or unexpected circumstances—I want you to know that your emotions are valid, and you are not alone. May we all find moments of peace and gratitude, no matter where we are or what we’re facing.
Wishing you and your loved ones a warm and meaningful Thanksgiving.
