A few years ago as I was building a program to help female entrepreneurs boost their confidence. During that time while working with my coach, I created my own Alter Ego – The Beauty Queen. She was created when I was stepping out to speak more on bigger stages. I always admired bow much grace, poise and confidence they had in every situation and I wanted to experience that. I had a fear of speaking in front of people and a fear of being judged, but hid it from everyone and put on a brave face. |

Once I created my Alter Ego – the Beauty Queen, wow things changed for me. I was able to step into that place of poise, grace and confidence with ease. Now that Alter Ego has become my reality. Funny how that works. |

I read a book by Todd Herman called the “Alter Ego Effect” which gave me a real revelation. In it he said that typically we automatically assume that Superman or Wonder Woman was the Alter Ego of Clark Kent and Diana Prince, but it is the other way around. Their true identity was a superhero and their Alter Ego was their mild-mannered selves. #BOOM

We are so much more incredibly powerful than we think and we mask our greatness with a mild mannered alter ego…

So I am now about to embark on this journey for the first time, recognizing that what I thought was my Alter Ego was really my true identity.
