In 2018, I was approached to co-author a book about women in technology. Many things happened and the project stalled. Carol Dunlop never gave up on the book and so finally, years later it’s ready to take flight. Here’s what happened in Carol’s own words and how this week, you can support this book launch!

My mantra for business and life.
5 years ago, I was approached by a publisher to participate in an awesome book project showcasing women’s leadership in technology.
This was so exciting and timely for me. My dream of becoming a published author had come true in 2017, with the release of my first solo book, UN-Market Your Business: 10 Ways for Savvy Entrepreneurs to Stand Out, Stop Struggling, and Start Profiting. That book became a #1 International Best Seller!
Because of exposure from that launch, people started contacting me about different projects. One stood out, it was the opportunity to become the Lead Author in a book about technology and women. #FavSubject
And how we each utilized the technology of the day to run our successful businesses.
I brought in 6 of my best clients, joint venture partners, and my #BizBestie Nadine Mullings. We were all extremely excited about the project and the non-profit piece: to spotlight a women’s business organization and give them part of the proceeds. There were so many plans, hopes, and dreams.
Alas, none of that was to happen. The project stalled, stopped, and started several times due to the publisher’s health, personal family issues, and potential loss of business due to alleged inside sabotage.
We were all disappointed, saddened, shocked, and confused, however, we never lost hope.
In January 2023, we made a collective decision. We decided to Take Charge of our own professional destiny and publish a similar book ourselves. I mean, why not? I am a 6X Best Selling author and I run a program, “Best Seller Lab” annually that produces Best Selling authors. Plus, two of my students, who are also Best Selling Authors, are in this book project as co-authors.
