Happy Independence day!

No doubt on this 246th anniversary of this country's freedom, you're doing something fun and exciting today to celebrate.

This Independence Day is the first time I get to celebrate it as a newly naturalized citizen of the United States. It's more than just a national holiday with barbecue and fireworks, it's a declaration of freedom.

Recent decisions by the Supreme Court and events of January 6th, 21 have for some tainted and disillusioned them towards this nation. They are angry and feel that their freedoms and rights are being violated. I don't fault anyone feeling what they feel. But for me, what's special about this country is, when things like this happen, you can stand up, band together and protest, you can cast your vote and you can make a difference. That's not the case in many other countries of the world. So exercise your freedoms, stand for what you believe and cast your vote because you can!

Happy 4th of July!
