David Whitaker, the President and CEO of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, is very familiar with this story. Growing up in a very small town in Georgia, David found the pathway out through a college education, then after landing his first marketing job in Florida, and then moving to Miami. 

He’s now making a difference in the city of Miami, showcasing the strengths of its diversity and wonderful communities.
