A year ago I was making the excruciating decision to have surgery to remove an area of breast tissue that was housing malignant cancer tumors. 

This by no means was an easy decision for me to make. Especially never having had any type of surgery before in my life, coupled with advice from a former surgeon to remove the entire breast. 

My faith, my fears and my trust in modern medicine were all put to the test.
