| Hardly a day goes by when I haven’t had a conversation or read an article about the struggles men are having as they leave their high school years and begin looking for the “next thing.” College may not be an interest. They are not sure what occupational direction to pursue. Perhaps they feel there may be a missing piece or “unfinished business” that must be dealt with before taking the next step. It could be a moral battle that has led to an addiction that they can’t seem to overcome. For some it’s a personal devotional time that has gone dry – or perhaps is non-existent. Some may have insecurities in handling finances or wanting to start a relationship but not exactly sure how to proceed. There seems to be a desire for community, spending some time with other guys so they can work through issues in a safe, “protected” environment.

| If any of the above describes you or someone you know then I’d urge you to consider a two week experience called “Conqueror 101,” based on the apostle Paul’s statement “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us.” Romans 8:37.
The battlefield for the hearts of men has hit the church like a tsunami. The losses are staggering and we feel strongly that without a plan to rescue these guys from the snares of the devil we may lose an entire generation.

| Let me share the details of this experience:- The location is in the beautiful Northwood’s of Upper Michigan.
- It is a two week experience that will run from Saturday June 6th through Saturday June 20th.
- The cost will be $650 which will include housing, meals, travel from Texas or Chicago and all materials. You will need to either rendezvous with us in either Big Sandy, Texas Thursday night June 4th for an early Friday departure or in Chicago on Saturday, June 6th for a pickup.
- Subject matter will include: having an effective Bible study; understanding the holiness of God, a great video series on moral purity and the beginning steps to conquering addictive habits; the Dave Ramsey course in personal finance, becoming a disciplined man; physical training geared to your level; what it means to live a surrendered life and more. There will be considerable reading and interaction so please understand this as you weigh your decision.
- Outdoor activities will include river canoeing and kayaking, lake activities (boating, skiing etc. but bring your winter swimming gear!), hiking, a trip to beautiful Lake Superior for some hangout time and other opportunities God may bring along. We want to combine some adventure with being in a community of men heading in the same direction with purpose.
- Minimum age is 18 because of subject matter. Exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis after discussion with parents. We will also consider a father/older son(s) request if the situation allows.
- We are looking for a maximum of twelve guys. At the time of this writing we already have four signed up so please understand that a quick response time to this email is important. Depending on interest, we may schedule a second course in early September.

| We have a heart for men to become overcomers and I personally believe these two weeks could be the initial steps in transforming the life of a man. Please prayerfully consider being “one of the twelve” and sign on! If you really desire to come but insufficient finances are an issue please let us know. We may be able to find others to help defer some of the costs. Please view this suggestion as one earmarked for those with real financial shortfalls. Call us for more details or any thoughts you may have. We look forward to visiting with you. Begin the process of becoming extraordinary men for Christ! Please feel free to call either me at 903-714-3481 or SMAJ Marcus Nafziger at 419-551-5136. Blessings,
