Greetings!

This is AJ from Didge Project and I'm excited because today we are releasing our full schedule for the Tribal Rhythms Gathering. Now you have access to our day by day guide, and if you can only make it out for one day, you can choose that day based on what's happening.

In just two weeks Alash Ensemble, Glen Velez, Maestro Manuel Rufino, Dream Seed, Sonark Trio and many other great acts will converge at our beautiful retreat location in the Catskills for a gathering like none other. 7/19 DREAM SEED: SHAMANIC SOUND JOURNEY (tonight)

In Tuvan throat singing, the performer produces a fundamental pitch and—simultaneously—one or more pitches over that. Often, singers travel far into the countryside looking for the right river, or go up to the steppes of the mountainside to create the proper environment for throat-singing.

Alash Ensemble (http://www.alashensemble.com), seen here, is one of the most celebrated Tuvan Throat Singing groups. Alash and its individual members have consistently won top honors in world throat singing competitions. Join Alash Ensemble at the 2018 Tribal Rhythms Gathering, August 2-5, 2018, Upstate NY.
We finally got our hands on the RAV B Celtic Minor Double Ding and now we understand what all the hype is about. We put together this video overview of the different elements of this particular model, the chords you can play on it and what "double ding" really means.

DidgeProject.com
Didge Project is a blog, youtube channel, series of courses and events, instrument store and a collective of musicians who want to help you use music as a tool for uplifting yourself and others around you.

On our site you will find tips and tutorials to help you become a better musician, didgeridoo lessons, instrument features and reviews, and reports on the latest scientific research and spiritual discoveries merging through the medium of sound.

When we began in 2008 our main focus was on teaching how to play the didgeridoo, a wind instrument originating in aboriginal Australia and also said to be present in ancient Mayan times. After working with countless people it became apparent that most musicians play multiple instruments and that we have the community resources to help all musicians get better results. While we still provide didgeridoo lessons, classes and programs, our focus is to provide tutorials for music and instruments from all around the world.
