Hi Friend,
This will be my last newsletter before Christmas. I want it to be meaningful and beneficial for you. I offer it in the spirit of Christmas which, in other words involves love, forgiveness, mercy & charity. I hope you give it the attention it deserves.
I've received emails from others who are not Christian suggesting that I be more inclusive of other faiths, or no faith, in my messages. My response to that mind-set is this:
The Christmas spirit has nothing to do with the pagan traditions which have worked their way into modern Christmas celebrations. We recognize those. The true spirit of Christmas involves renewed hope for mankind that in Jesus, a true savior was born to redeem us of our sins so that we might have life everlasting with him.
This evokes a spirit of brotherly love, forgiveness and charity that we all must have for each other no matter what our belief system is. We are all sinners, none of us should be judging others.
Jesus set the example which we all must follow if we desire peace and harmony. You don't need to be Christian to believe in that concept or to benefit from the goodwill of others whatever the faith. Religion is what separates us. Thumbs down on religion. Love is what should unite us. That's the focus and Christmas is the season to remind us of that regardless of your belief system.
"God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son to die for us that we might have life everlasting." John 3:16
If you haven't done so, you can honor and benefit from that love and sacrifice by asking Jesus to forgive our sins and come into our lives and receive his blessings.
Let us all set that level of love as our standard to be measured against.
