Director Wim Wenders' new 3D film Anselm is visual storytelling at its finest. The film focuses on painter and sculptor Anselm Kiefer, whose work explores the cyclical nature of history. Wenders first started shooting 3D as a way to show the dynamism of architecture. In 2011, ADFF screened If Buildings Could Talk, Wenders' first 3D film which highlights SANAA's Rolex Learning Center in Lausanne. In 2014, ADFF showed Cathedrals of Culture, a documentary made up of six short films about different architectural masterpieces. Wenders was an executive producer of the entire compilation and directed the segment on Hans Scharoun's Berlin Philharmonic. Wenders is currently working on a 3D film about Swiss architect Peter Zumthor. |
