Bowlingtreff tells the story of the first bowling alley in
the city of Leipzig and an architectural portrait of one the only postmodern
buildings in former East Germany. Postmodernism icon and 2016 AIA Gold Medal
winner Architect Denise Scott Brown evaluates Bowlingtreff as a remarkable sign
of the time anticipating the Zeitgeist of 1989 when people had the bravery to
claim freedom through peaceful revolution started in Leipzig.
