Dear Friends of Wilbur:
As I approach my 80th birthday, and my 47th year as Caretaker of Wilbur Hot Springs, I look forward to Wilbur's future. I wonder about the pressure Wilbur will receive to bring in cell phones, computers and television. And what about bathing suits? Will there be pressure to create a bathing suits only requirement? What about loud fun parties? Wilbur's response to such pressure will be the same as it has always been during my watch...Wilbur is a Health Sanctuary, for people and animals.
A Sanctuary, in its original meaning, is a sacred place, such as a shrine. By extension the term has come to be used for any place of safety. This secondary use can be categorized into human sanctuary, a safe place for humans, such as a political sanctuary; and non-human sanctuary, such as an animal or plant sanctuary., In keeping with being a Health Sanctuary you may continue to count on us to provide an environment which maximizes your safety, and psychophysical health. We will continue to offer you prescription grade nature (RxN) and a smoke free vacation from the internet (digital detox) where bathing attire is optional. Kindness will continue to be Wilbur's slogan. Wilbur will remain the ideal safe place to explore your consciousness in a wide variety of ways. Over the years we have witnessed many people make life changes, both small and huge, while on vision quests at Wilbur.

Considering taking the time to re-evaluate your life? Come enjoy Wilbur for a while.
Wilbur's medicinal waters feel as luxurious as they
did the very first time and the safety of the pristine environment
continues to soothe my soul from the abrasions of the world we all live
in.
Say hello next time you are here for the Wilbur Health Experience. Richard and Jolee, Caretakers, Wilbur Hot Springs 1972-present

“Spring is in the air...and all around us. With this season comes new life springing forth from the earth. The birds are chirping, the sky is blue, the grass is turning green and plush. Wisps of color are peeking out as flowers begin their full bloom. The coolness of previous months seems to have cleansed the air...breathe in the cool crisp breeze in the morning. Lay back and relax as the sun comes out and warms everything.”
We invite you to come and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of Spring at Wilbur. You are welcome in this place of peace. Sunny skies at Wilbur, Jerry and Brennan Newberry WHS General Managers |
