Welcome to our February Newsletter!
February has brought us some crazy weather but it is always warm in the Academy Retreat Center. We have been busy scheduling classes and sew-in days for the year. If you have ideas on classes that you would like to see us offer, let us know. A Place for Everything Organizer Bag Class
|
|
This class will be held on Saturday, March 21st from 10 AM to 5 PM for a total of 7 hours. The A Place for Everything Organizer Bag class with instructor Terry Stafford will teach you how to create a spacious organizer with lots of zippered pockets to hold everything you need. The case measures approximately 10" H x 13.5" W x 4" D and features a handle at the top of the case for easy carrying. There is some work that needs to be done before the class so please do not wait to the last minute to register for this class.

The Garden Club BOM Class
|
|
The Garden Club Embroidery Block of the Month Class with instructor Ollie Gray will be held on a total of 6 dates.
The second date has been scheduled for Saturday, March 14th. Instruction will begin at 10 AM and end at 2 PM
for a total of 4 hours for each date and 24 hours for the class. The Retreat Center will remain open until 9 PM
for those who want to continue sewing after instruction ends.

Sew What! Fridays are Open Sew Times in the Retreat Center. The Retreat Center will be open on the 4th Friday of every month from 9 AM to 9 PM. On-Line Registration is required and the cost is $10 for the day. February 28th is the next Sew What! Friday that has been scheduled. So bring a friend and have a great day sewing or crafting in the Retreat Center. No formal instruction will take place, work on whatever project you want to.
