The inaugural "Living THE Balanced Life" Enrichment & Empowerment Women's Conference (EEWC) was a success!
Each presenter offered the participants tools to improve their mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health and guidance in goal setting.
LaTonya Banks wrote on Facebook: "Attending conferences like this is investing in yourself. I'm so glad I attended. I took away a few nuggets that I am immediately implementing in my mind, heart and soul. I learned how to manage stress, understanding that making myself a priority isn't selfish, and what natural herbs to use for healing, etc. If you know like I know, you won't miss the next one."
Carolyn Sutton and her friend, Shericka Freeman, drove five hours from Georgia to attend the conference. They were two of the 100 people registered.
“I have never seen a more smoothly run conference,” she said. “We participants felt welcome, affirmed, appreciated, and comfortable from the very start.
“… God obviously blessed your [Judith Hawkins'] 30-day fast and personal prayerfest leading up to this conference. [The] teaching on the lessons of Esther were profound, yet applicable. The importance of hearing God and then obeying Him within (and even despite) one’s life context and sphere of influence came through loud and clear. I am incredulous at how rapidly my own outlook and direction have been changing for better balance—and with such resolve and clarity—after only six or seven hours with you less than two weeks ago! The only explanation I have is that, whether you realized it or not, you were also fasting and praying for me. And the Spirit, as a result, is on the move.”
Mozell Leland attended the conference after receiving an invite through her employer, Ingram Accounting, who helped sponsor the event.
"Thank you ... What a wonder and inspirational fellowship today!" she wrote of the event.
Valissa Calhoun recently moved to Tallahassee, FL, and found the conference as she looked for community activities available on EventBrite.
“I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the Gaza Road Ministries Conference,” she said. “I am still recapping all that I’ve learned to apply to my life.”
