Dear VHT enthusiast,

Our best wishes for a happy and healthy 2024! We ended 2023 with the official launch of the Virtual Human Twins initiative and the VHT Manifesto.

We are starting the year strong with our first community meeting in Paris next week. Places are still available to join but the registration is closing soon. In Paris we will continue the work on developing the roadmap for the realization of the Virtual Human Twin. If you haven't already, it's not too late to join the journey!

European Virtual Human Twin Initiative

On December 22 2023, the Commission launched the European Virtual Human Twins (VHTs) Initiative which supports the emergence and adoption of the next generation of virtual human twins solutions in health and care. The program of this festive occasion in Barcelona included contributions from high level policy makers and a round table discussion with representatives of academia, industry, clinics and patient organizations.

Virtual Human Twin Manifesto

As an essential element of the European VHT initiative, the Manifesto not only fosters collaboration in the current VHT ecosystem by bringing together different ecosystem players supporting this flagship initiative of the European Commission, but also facilitates the framework for further collaboration.

Call for use-cases and resources

Initially some of EDITH's activities have been based on five preselected use-cases (intensive care, cancer, cardiovascular, osteoporosis, and brain) that are currently being tested in clinical settings.
