Subject: World for Jesus E-Newsletter- "How to Walk With God" Session 8, Part E

Dear Friends,

I want to let you know about some exciting new teachings to our website!

This weekend, at Bethel Chapel, Nita Johnson delivered a powerful message on the importance of prayer followed by an insightful Q&A time.

Last week, Nita shared Part 4 of her message on The Light. This is a prophetic revelation set aside for this time in history and you do not want to miss out on these precious nuggets from the Lord, you can download them and listen again and again!

A couple weeks ago, I (Ricci) began a study on 1 Peter, another key message in this season wherein God is redefining the Church.
You can find these messages, along with each of our teachings, is uploaded to the Prophetic & Intercessor’s Training Ground page of our website.

Prayer Request:

Please stand with us in prayer regarding our finances. We are in a critical situation right now and welcome your prayer support until we get a breakthrough. There are many outreaches within our ministry, and I invite you to click here to learn a little more about the various arms of the World for Jesus Ministry!

CedarWood: Our Cedarwood homeless outreach set out to feed the homeless last weekend (July 20th). We were blessed to have additional helpers which always helps speed up the food distribution time, providing us with greater opportunity for ministry to the homeless men, women and children we encounter.

There is a park that we frequent, surrounded by three churches, near a wooded area. While we were distributing food, one of the pastors approached our team and informed us that he and the other pastors wanted us to stop feeding the homeless due to the trash and waste left over by those living in the wooded area behind the park. Our team listened to his concerns, but inside, their hearts were breaking. While we can sympathize with the issue of trash, the reality of the situation is this: we fed over 90 half-starved individuals the only hot meal they will get all week. While they eat, we have a few moments to give them an extension of the love of Jesus Christ, pray for their needs, and possibly, even lead them to the Lord.

Since the beginning of 2018, we’ve provided clothing shoes, socks, blankets, tents, sleeping bags, coats, hats and gloves (during the harsh winter months), along with a bag of food and even hygiene products. This is what we do because this is the call of the Lord for our ministry. However, in Seattle, it’s illegal for the homeless to drink from public drinking fountains or use public restrooms. They cannot sleep outside; it’s against the law! Water and shelter are withheld from them, many of the missions are closed at odd times, so when we see churches nearby, we pray they have an outreach for the homeless near them. This is a precious opportunity to serve those who have the greatest need right outside their door. Imagine the harvest…

We’ve had our share of opposition, but what really broke our team was the fact that the pastor stood and complained about the homeless, demanded we stop feeding them, all while two of our homeless ladies stood right next them.

How do we tell people that Jesus loves them when pastors are turned their backs on those in need?

The ladies began to cry as the pastor walked away. They said it wasn’t true, in fact, each week they work to clean up the park and even pick up anything that blows into the church parking lots. They begged our group to keep coming back and we assured them we would.

This weekend, when our team returned as promised, one of the churches had “NO TRESPASSING” signs posted around their parking lot and many of the homeless had been run off by police. There were still those homeless who hid in the woods and they still came when we called out for them, but their hearts were surely impacted by the blatant rejection those signs represent.

May God have mercy…

Please continue to pray for our CedarWood teams as they feed those in need. Our BackPack Kids program is now serving over 280 children every weekend. Our CedarWood Pantry operation provides groceries for 280-300 each week, and our CedarWood Homeless Outreach feeds over 90 of Seattle’s most needy citizens every weekend. This is in addition to the clothing and household items our CedarWood Coat’s & Clothes provides. We really need continued prayer covering and support.

Thank you for standing with us! If you’d like to contribute to CedarWood or any of our outreaches, you can do so by clicking here.

Blessings & love,

Ricci Wilson

"How to Walk With God"

Session Eight, Part E

NOLA Revival Services July, 2011

By Nita Johnson

There was a time when the earth was filled with Baptist theology, and that is exactly what the world was ready for. Please understand that this is nothing against the Baptists. It is just about a superficial understanding of the Word and that is what the world was ready for at the time, but in the days ahead what you will need due to the many problems, perplexities and coming of the glorious Kingdom is much deeper. You are going to need a spiritual strength that can only happen through life in the Word and if you are not spending time in the Word, asking the Spirit of the Lord to make the Word life and real to you, imparting it into your heart, spirit, soul and mind, then you may not receive it. When the Kingdom comes and difficulties come, you are not going to be strong enough to endure them and you will not be strong enough to endure it.

It takes great spiritual strength to live in the higher truths. Jesus did not walk with the Father the way He did because He was not versed in the Word. He was the Word but He was also versed in the Word. He had great spiritual stature when he was very young because of His life in the Word. When the world was tugging at Him to walk to the right or left, He remained true to the Father, because even at the age of eight He knew more about the Word and the Father.

I asked Him one time, “How is it that You were able to walk with the Father without sin? How were you able to walk with Him in the depth that You did at such a young age?” He said to me, “Because I knew the principles that I shared in Matthew 5, 6, 7 and I knew them to the depths of my soul and because I knew these things about the Father, I was able to walk with Him. The strength I needed to walk with Him and not with the world was with Me.”

Jesus was walking on earth and the world was trying to pull Him into a completely different direction, but because of His knowledge of the Word, the Father and the Kingdom, He had the strength not to be pulled aside but to go the way of God. He never had to say, “Why did I do this or that…” because the Word was life to Him. What does this say?

Deuteronomy 32:47 (Amplified)
47 For it is not an empty and worthless trifle for you; it is your [very] life. By it you shall live long in the land which you are going over the Jordan to possess.

The Word does not become life to you overnight; it takes time, prayer and fasting. Pleading with God to develop that love and intimacy with the Word. The more you find yourself clinging to the Word, the stronger you will become to walk with God. You will then be strong enough to bear the problems in the days ahead and the bear coming release of the Kingdom at a much higher level than we have ever known.

I was in Bend, Oregon, ministering, and all day long every day I would sit at the foot of the bed worshipping the Lord in prayer. Even though Oregon is so beautiful that whenever you go you just want to go out and see the nature, I did not go anywhere because that is not my way. When I go to Niagara Falls to minister, I do not go out and look at the falls—I stay in my room and pray. I am not here to see the world, I am here to see God and this is what I did.

When I was not in the pulpit, I was in prayer. One particular day I was getting ready to leave because the services were over and it was time to go to the airport. I was sitting in a chair by the wall telling the Lord, “Thank You for the week You have given me. You have been so wonderful and precious, Lord. It has been so awesome to be in Your presence like this all week long. Thank You so much, Lord.” And He said to me, “I have so many things that I want to show you, but you are not yet strong enough to bear it.” I cried, but it was also a beautiful lesson, that you must have spiritual strength that only He can give in order to drink of the higher truths.

Someone said to me once, “Teach me and mentor me, I will learn really fast—six months or a year.” I said, “You cannot do that, it is not possible.” They replied, “Yes it is, I will just try very hard.” Their heart was so innocent, zealous and desiring and I said, “You know, it has taken me X amount of years to get here; you do not get here in a year.” They said, “Yes, but I will, because I will try very hard.” I said, “I am not going to do that because you cannot bear what you are asking for—do you understand what I am saying? Your spirit cannot handle it and neither can your soul. You cannot bear it; it is like giving a baby who can only drink milk prime rib. It does not even know how to chew and it has no teeth. Even if it could eat it, its little system could not digest it, which is true of the Word. It takes time to build your spirit and soul up to endure truth.” Is that not incredible?

Deuteronomy 32:47 (Amplified)

47 For it is not an empty and worthless trifle for you; it is your [very] life. By it you shall live long in the land which you are going over the Jordan to possess.

If you want to walk with Jesus, then you have got to be a Word person and I do not mean just claiming it. You have to love it and it has to become your life, amen? How wonderful it is to know how the Lord thinks and that He is directing correcting, calling and remaking you.
