Dear Friends, 

As we prepare to celebrate the 4th of July, let us consider what it represents: our Nation’s Independence from a tyrannical rule. Among the many freedoms our forefathers intended for us to have as they established the precepts with which our country would be built upon, I’d like to address three of them: our religious liberty, freedom of speech, and freedom of the press. Why? Because these are essential elements which enable the children of God to flow freely in our country and currently, they are under an unfettered assault by those seeking to silence us. 

These freedoms are may be included in our founding documents however, these ideologies have been under a steady stream of attack in an attempt to whittle away at the structure and intent upon which our country was established 243 years ago. It’s time we acknowledge this reality and take an active role pushing back their efforts. 

How? We begin with prayer. I encourage you to actively pray over these two issues:

Censorship— this impacts freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Over the last two years there’s been a gradual movement to silence the conservative voice by many popular media platforms and browsers. Many conservatives are labeled as “hate speech advocates” and I’ve watched time and time again as many Bible-wielding or anti-socialist individuals are deemed as a threat to society. They are accused of writing material or voicing opinions containing “inappropriate verbiage” which often result in having you shut down within minutes. Among the many conservative voices who support President Trump, we’ve seen journalists who expose the silencing of the media banned, we’ve seen journalists who expose human trafficking among the elite banned from all social media platforms, and we’ve even seen those who stand for the unborn such as Lila Rose, founder of Live Action-a prolife organization geared to exposing the abortion industry, deceptive legislation, and so on, silenced. 

The enemy is trying to silence conservatives and even intervene in the next election. We must not remain silent; we’ve got to engage! We’ve got to pray for additional platforms to come forth that will allow freedom of speech. 

Religious Liberty. They’ve worked to bring the “Equality Act” at a national level for nearly a decade. In March, it passed the House but stalled in the Senate. Please consider reading this article to understand the impact of this on the Church, missionaries, ministries, conservatives and so on. 

 
There is a similar bill is making its way through California to further the plans of the enemy for our country. Why is this important? Click here for a summary. What takes place in California, can and will set precedence for the nation. This is why the enemy is so focused on destabilizing and destroying California and why many of us cannot leave this state until the Lord tells us it’s time to go. We have to represent the Lord and be His light in this state! 

Why did they bring it to California? When they are unsuccessful passing certain laws at the National level, they head to the influential states to set a precedence. From there, they will carry it across the country. 

Friends, we need to remain diligent in our intercession to retain the freedoms our founding fathers set before us. Remember Ben Franklin’s bold response when the young woman asked him what they’d given us after he, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and John Adams, etc., exited the building in Philadelphia after writing the Declaration of Independence and accompanying documents? With a heavy sigh he looked at her and declared “A Republic, if you can keep it!” 

Brothers and sisters, if we are going to retain this Republic of the United States of America, we must engage our voice. What impact can we have? Remember the Target bathroom fiasco of 2016? Conservatives boycotted them and they lost millions in sales forcing them to reverse their universal bathroom rule. Their projected financial loss was so great, it was determined fiscally irresponsible to continue that path and reversed their decision choosing instead, to invest $20 Million in single occupancy restrooms. Conservatives have far more impact than we realize, and we need to remember that in the days ahead.

We must become emboldened in our prayers. Let us go before the throne room of our Lord and Savior and petition Him on behalf of our states and our Nation. Pray against this bias, all out censorship, and legislation such as this “Equality Act” whenever they rear their ugly heads. It’s our responsibility to push back against the enemy. 

We have much more power than we realize! Last year, I had a vision of what the Lord would later title a “Wall of Righteousness.” On one side was complete darkness, on the other was Light! When we began praying the wall was leaning toward us. However, as we prayed, the Spirit intervened and we were pressing that wall back against the darkness and across our country! Friends, God has given us the responsibility AND the authority to succeed in this endeavor. We are not alone! 

This Thursday while you watch the fireworks, remember what we are fighting for today. Our Church, our children, our voice, and our future! We are fighting to retain the Republic of the United States of America! This is why we stand! This is why we fight!! We fight for freedom of religion, freedom from oppression, freedom to speech, and FREEDOM to STAND for RIGHTEOUSNESS!
