Christ did the work so that we could go behind the veil. Many people still see that veil between the holy place and the holy of holies still intact and it affects their relationship with God. However, Christ did the work so that we could enter into a place of intimacy with God. Intimacy with our Creator. Remember, He has the power and authority to create—to give and to take life. If we live every moment of our life remembering that we serve a God Who created us, Who formed us from the dust of the earth and then breathed His breath of life within us, it would transform the relationship we have with Him into one of intimacy and wholeness. Even His name is holy and pure! He is holiness, and if His Spirit resides within us, we too are called to live a life of holiness.
Romans 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
“Be ye transformed” found in Romans 12:2 means “to undergo a change of moral character for the better.” Under the power of God, this will find its expression in character and conduct. 2 Corinthians 3:18 uses the same word; we are transformed into the same image (of consummate excellence that shines in Christ).
2 Corinthians 3:14-18 “But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
This word “glass” as in “beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord” refers to a mirror. We are to reflect the glory of the Lord. When Moses came down from the mountain, his face reflected the glory of the Lord. He had been behind the veil. This is where God is calling His children to today. You see, the power of God is about to be released and, in this season, we will see miracles taking place throughout the body of Christ. Physical miracles will take place, emotional healing will occur. Even deep-rooted emotional healing will take place in an instant. People will be freed from addiction, pulled out of wheelchairs, children will be delivered from autism and on and on! God will flow through the new breed of believers to break the chains that bind! Why? Because they have lived their lives behind the veil.
Why is it so important to understand what God is birthing? We need to remember: We have been called into that place behind the veil and we must prepare ourselves every single day to live there, behind the veil, allowing the presence of God to infiltrate every part of our being. The submission process is crucial, for it will enable the transformative work of His presence to form us into His image. So, when we enter a room, the presence of God enters with us and it’s His presence that does its work in the hearts of the people. It is a new power and authority that He wants flowing through His people—those who have made themselves ready, those who have refused to be conformed to this world, and instead, allowed Him to transform and renew their minds. We must learn to live our lives as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto Him in the midst of the worst trials of our life. We have to keep to the forefront of our mind the hope and the promises that He is giving.
I cannot tell you how critical this time is. There is an unprecedented release coming that will reveal the power of the living God and impact the body of Christ in ways we’ve never seen before. The Satanic realm has built itself up, strengthening its numbers, drawing people into that realm. However, the power of the living God is about to be released and those people will come out of darkness and into the Light. Breakthroughs are coming!
Friends, we are called to reflect that Light, to reflect the glory of the Lord, and the only way we can successfully fulfill that call is to learn to live our lives behind the veil.
Closing Prayer:
Heavenly father, I want to thank You for Your work in us. We are so humbled by the depth of Your work within us. You love us enough to do the work—to correct us, to discipline us, to sift us, to purify us. Your care for us is as that of Abba Father, longing for His children to understand Who He is, continuously drawing His children into intimacy. Lord, Your desire is to help us experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit, that we might fulfill Your will on earth as it is in heaven.
We are intercessors, created to bring forth the will of God into this earth. Prepare us, Lord God, for the fullness of the call that has been placed on our lives. Prepare us, draw us into You. Draw us into intimacy with You. Give us grace to understand what You’ve shared with us, Lord. The refining process is not easy and each of us needs Your grace. I can sense You drawing us into Your presence, into a place in You we never thought possible. Give us the grace to get there, Lord.
I thank You. I thank You for Your love. You long for us that we might long for You. I thank You, in Your precious name, Amen.
Blessings in Him,
Ricci Johnson-Wilson
