Subject: "The Light" Session 2 - Part A

Dear Friends,

CedarWood:

Every weekend our team goes out to the streets in Seattle and connects with the homeless population. The truth is, our deepest desire is to one day have a facility to house those who want to come off the streets and help them gain employment and get re-established into society. There are many reasons people find themselves on the street and while they are harshly judged and condemned our heart is to love on them and let them know that God has not turned His back on them. While it is true, some battle addiction, some battle mental illness, yet others simply faced one financial hit after another until they found themselves without a home. It’s not our place to judge them, our commission is to love them, and we will continue to provide a warm meal, a bag of food for the week, hygiene products, and whatever supplies the Lord provides each week.

Thanks to a generous donation for Cedarwood, we were able to purchase much needed hats, gloves, sleeping bags, hand warmers, socks and thermal undergarments for our clients who live on the street. Distributing these extra supplies was a tremendous joy for our team. Seattle temperatures are already dropping into the low 40s at night and keeping warm is a daily struggle. Within a month, these temperatures will be closer to the 20s. People just want to be loved, and when they live on the street, love is the last thing they receive. As our team distributes supplies, they pray, they hug them, and they weep with them; you’d be surprised at how much these simple acts minister to someone living on the street.

I invite you to read through our Fall CedarWood Report to learn more about CedarWood and the various programs we have. We welcome your financial and prayer support for this arm of our ministry. We need volunteers for our CedarWood Pantry on Monday, the Coats & Clothes Closet, and to go out with our team on Saturday. You can help serve food and free up our team to be able to minister to those we come in contact with, or if you have a burden to minister in an outreach such as this one, this provides an opportunity for you to do so.

Thanksgiving Meals:

Our team will begin handing out our Thanksgiving Meal kits in just under three weeks! Our kits include a Turkey, potatoes, gravy, veggies, stuffing mix, rolls, and so on! This is something that blesses our CedarWood Pantry families each year and we are incredibly excited to continue this wonderful tradition!

Coats & Clothes Closet:

We are beginning our blanket and coat drive! Seattle winters are quite harsh, and our goal is to insure every person that walks through our doors has a warm coat that fits them properly. We also need blankets; warm blankets keep heating costs down for our families! If you’d like to participate in this outreach, you can mail clean, very gently used or new items to our PO Box, drop them off at Bethel Chapel on Mondays, or bring them with you to the Portland Gathering of the Eagles in January.

We want to thank you for supporting this work! The Lord blesses those who care for the poor, whether it’s through prayer covering, your time, or your financial support, what you sow into CedarWood blesses so many and will most certainly be accounted to you in Heaven!

Blessings & love,

Ricci Wilson

The Light
Session 2 – Part A

By Nita Johnson

EPHESIANS 4:11-15 IS THE RECIPE TO BREAK THE SPELL OF OVER-STIMULATION IN ANY AREA OF LIFE!

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.”

Over time, many things can bring us regular stimulation, they can bring us over-stimulation, and they can bring us under-stimulation. The problem arises when the spirit delivering this stimulation is ungodly! From things that seem as small as gossip, stimulating that sort of bullying behavior, or even beating yourself up by working out too much, even these things are not small in the eyes of God, because He wants us to inherit the life He designed for us, which has Heavenly weight and benefit.

The last time I spoke, I talked about the Spirit of Stimulation and the fact that we need that comfort from the Lord to bring us into the fullness of Ephesians 4:11-15. Why? Because we are human beings and we just tend to move slower on things than we really should. So, it would be a real good idea for you to begin praying for that. You might ask yourself, “When have I prayed enough?” The answer is never! Pray at all times, in every season, on every occasion, in the Spirit! (Ephesians 6)

The Lord started speaking to me many years ago, giving me experiences and the reality of the fact that He is getting ready to cause an “Army of Light” to arise in the earth. I do not know how long He has been talking to me about this, probably since ‘83 or ’84. But it has just been little drops here and there in my walk. But as of late it has been, I would safely say, every other day that He has either visited me, spoken to me or sent an angel to come in and convey a message. He is still doing this because of the revelation that I am going to be sharing with you today. It is very important that the Body of Christ gets hold of this message, gets it into their heart, and that they begin responding to it. I think if we do not head in that direction really quickly, we are going to miss out on something awesome, incredible, majestic and powerful…on and on it goes. We are going to miss all that because we were not ready. So please, listen with that in mind.

So, what is it we need the Spirit of Stimulation to help us out with? First of all, I am going to put it to you point blank: The Lord is, even now, beginning to prepare a Body of people to become priests and kings of light.

1 Peter 1:17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear.

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the one Word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

I have written two books that are very critical and very powerful, because God said they needed to be written and the Body of Christ needed to read them before the day that is just ahead of us happens. Why? Because if you do not know what He is going to do and how He is going to do it, you are not going to be ready the way He needs you to be. One of those books is “Putting On The Breastplate Of Righteousness” and the other is “Melchizedek Priesthood.” That is kind of the beginning premise that He has us munching on right now.

The Breastplate of Righteousness does not simply guard the body and the breast bone, protecting our lungs and heart, but it also guides us by protecting our future! How so? By giving us restitute and firmly putting us in right standing with God, a treasure we should not miss out on every day that we brave the paths on this earthly playing field! Join us as we repent and guard our lives and our futures with this amazing piece of heavenly war armor teaching.

We have been called to be a Chosen Race. A Royal Priesthood. A Dedicated Nation. God’s own purchased special people, that you may show forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Now if you ask, “What virtues?” you can just write on your paper, “The Love Chapter.” There are many places in the Bible that speak of the virtues of Christ. Some omit one thing. Others omit others. But when you have finished reading all the virtues (and there is quite a handy number) that have to not only be developed by our determination, but we need Jesus to come and do what we do not know how to do.

The best way to walk this thing out is that in your prayer time. Tell Him where you stand, that we need Him to live His life out through us, and then go through the virtues and invite Him in to do that. Then, when you get into serious problems, do not run from the Lord. Run to Him and say to Him, “I feel like I need [this virtue or that virtue] to make it through this. Please do that for me. Provide me with that grace, that learning experience and provide me with Your power, Your Majesty and Your virtue in this situation.” And if you will get into the habit of doing that, you are going to find that walking with the Lord, as we look at what is coming, is going to be so much easier.

To be continued next week…

In Him,

Nita
