Subject: "The Light" Session 1 - Part E

Dear Friends,

The DC Gathering of the Eagles brought with it tremendous promise for the days ahead. Due to the nature of the revelation and its relevance to not only our future here in the USA, but around the world, I’d like to share some of the prophetic revelation God gave us during our time together in DC. Join us this Thursday night at 5:30 PM (PST) on our corporate call. I’m in the process of praying through some additional revelation the Lord gave me since returning home and putting it to print to send out to you so we can pray into the things God has planned for our Nation. Friends, this is a critical season we are in; we have an opportunity to pray God’s heavenly will into the earth in unprecedented ways, we cannot take this opportunity lightly. Rather, we must press in through strategic prayer and focused intercession.

More on this Thursday night!

That said, I’d like to shift your attention to our CedarWood Department and ask for your prayer support. We’ve been so focused on our DC Gathering and the results for our Nation, we’ve neglected our little sister! I ask for your forgiveness!

CedarWood BackPack Kids is now serving approximately 160 children with the potential for 160 more children this year! These children live in the Sky Valley/Skykohomish area where poverty is beyond what most can comprehend. Many children live in sparse conditions with one or both parents on a very limited income with scarce employment opportunities given the proximity of the rural area in which they reside, to any other communities. We assemble bags of food with easy prep meals for young children to prepare and then transport them up to our ministry partner to distribute on a weekly basis. This situation provides the unique opportunity to include additional food supplies for the entire family during distribution.

CedarWood Coats & Clothes serves the pantry clients as well as our homeless outreach. This area is in need of coats, hats, gloves, scarfs and shoes to accommodate the harsh winter months of Seattle. We take clean, gently used and new items and distribute them Mondays or transport them to the homeless on Saturdays. If you would like to mail items to assist us in this endeavor, contact our CedarWood Director of Operations Adam Shepherd at adams@worldforjesus.org and he will coordinate shipping or drop off details with you. We will also collect items for this during our Portland Gathering of the Eagles in January!

CedarWood Homeless Outreach goes into the highways and byways of the Seattle area communities and provides a warm, filling meal along with toiletries and a bag of food to the individuals society tends to turn away from most—the homeless. Seattle weather is not only wet, but it’s cold with temperatures already reaching into the mid-30s at night and we are only in October. Our team hands out blankets and even sleeping bags when we have them. The shelters that are not closed are filled to capacity while the number of homeless in sanctuary cities such as Seattle continues to rise. We reach anywhere from 70-100 each Saturday with some literally living on the streets and others living in their vehicles. They are chased away from churches, parking lots, even the woods so the Lord has to guide our steps to find where the homeless are each week, but He is faithful to guide our team. This is an area we could really use additional volunteers. If you live in the Seattle area and would like to help, contact the office via email of call Karen at 559-435-2423 and we will connect you with our team.

CedarWood Pantry is gearing up for our holiday meal distribution! We provide full Thanksgiving meals to our Pantry client families which includes Turkeys, potatoes, rolls, gravy and so on! In December, we also make it possible for parents to provide gifts for their children. Poverty does not take a holiday, but we don’t believe it should define the holidays either.

CedarWood may be our little sister, but the truth is, almost half our staff work in this arm of our ministry with the number of volunteers expanding each month. Imagine the impact of growing up knowing that God brought a ministry your way because He loved you so much, that even though your family struggled financially, you didn’t go hungry, you had a warm coat, and you received a gift every year during the holidays. Many of our clients, both young and old, also serve as volunteers because they are so impacted by what God has done for them through CedarWood. God is creating such a beautiful cycle of receiving and giving through this arm of our ministry, every day we are honored that the Lord entrusted us with this work!

These CedarWood outreaches have become a staple in the Seattle area and as we provide practical ministry for our clients, their hearts are open to the spiritual deposits we’ve been commissioned to make. If you would like to support this arm of our ministry, click here.

Blessings & love,

Ricci Wilson

The Light
Session 1 – Part E

By Nita Johnson

Next, let’s look at Ephesians 2:19-22. (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)

19 Therefore you are no longer outsiders (exiles, migrants, and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens), but you now share citizenship with the saints (God’s own people, consecrated and set apart for Himself); and you belong to God’s [own] household.

20 You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus Himself the chief Cornerstone.

21 In Him the whole structure is joined (bound, welded) together harmoniously, and it continues to rise (grow, increase) into a holy temple in the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, consecrated, and sacred to the presence of the Lord].

22 In Him [and in fellowship with one another] you yourselves also are being built up [into this structure] with the rest, to form a fixed abode (dwelling place) of God in (by, through) the Spirit.

Okay now, listen to that for a second. How many of us have always known that the temple of God is made out of light? Here we learn that the temple of God, as in other places, but we learn here also, that the temple of God is made out of the essence that is being divinely chiseled and formed, created, held, designed by the Spirit. What is the Spirit? The Spirit of God is pure light. So He is taking the church, I mean, of all of the things we can say about the future, the most important thing we could ever say is that He is making the temple of God out of the children of light. What an incredible statement. What holds God? When He confines Himself to a temple, He owns that temple, but the temple houses Him so there is a mutual communion going on. That is what the Spirit of God is working to create to build to the glory of Christ.

Now a vessel of light is going to have far more capacity than someone who is born of the kingdom of darkness, who lives and dies there. Our problem is we’ve never thought to seek out and learn just what He can do with a son of light and begin to seek His face as to what He wants your part in that to be so that you can start working with Him to let that happen.

2 Corinthians 5:17, 21:

17 Therefore if any person is [engrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!

21 For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].

The reality is, the more we strive to be like Him, the more we fight and war against our flesh and our soulish nature and side with our spirit to have the dominion of our being in Christ, the more purified we are going to become, and the more purified we become, the more highly He is going to be able to use us.

I want you to know everything I am saying tonight. God has a church that He literally delivered His Son to the cross to obtain and He did it, not just to give us a great home in heaven through eternity, but it was the world that brought shame to His name. Some people might say yeah, it was the Jews. It was the world that brought shame to His name. So God, in His wonderful way, is making a plan where He is going to use His church to overcome the world—that is what we are discussing. From the morning when you get out of bed until the time you go to sleep, you are being prepared as a special and anointed vessel of the Lord, someone who is being built into the image of His church on earth as His temple on earth.

This is so beautiful if you can just grab it and hold it. His goal is to develop vessels that can walk in heaven while on this earth. That is what Jesus did in the book of John. We hear Him say that no one knows Him except we who are with Him. He didn’t say “were”, He said “are”. Jesus was walking in heaven while He was walking on this earth and no one knew it except the Father.

So, maybe between now and next week you can go through the gospels and see if you can understand a little bit more about Jesus, how He walked, how He talked and how God used Him in this highly developed state. Not that God has to be developed, that is not what I am saying, however, He was also all man and all man had to be developed to hold the “all God.” What He did through Christ He is surely going do again through the many.

Blessings in Him,

Nita Johnson
