Subject: "The Cry Inside" - Part A

Dear Friends and Intercessors,

What a beautiful month we've had at CedarWood! Our Coat & Blanket Drive is underway and the last three weeks we've given 74 Coats, 19 Blankets, and 18 pairs of shoes! (This does not include this Monday's stats) This has been such a blessing for our team to provide the much-needed coats/blankets/shoes to the precious people of Seattle. Please pray about contributing to this effort. We accept clean, gently-used or new items or funds to make the purchases locally. If you plan to attend the Gathering of the Eagles in December, consider bringing one with you to turn in when you check-in and get your name badge. We'll have a box set up and waiting! One request, please, be sure they are weather appropriate. Waterproof/water resistant coats are a must. Seattle has very cold, wet (rain/snow) winters. We receive requests for blankets and sleeping bags (for the homeless) every week.

Monday was our Thanksgiving Meal Distribution! Many of you contributed to this effort, with the first 'seed' for this project coming from one of our clients. It was her desire to give that launched the $30 Thanksgiving Meal Drive. Check out our FaceBook page for pictures of this year's event! I just received a text from Vivian Du-Porter (CW Director) to inform me of our final numbers. Monday, November 23, 2015, our CedarWood Pantry distributed full Thanksgiving meals to 105 families!!! It is such an honor, to be able to provide the needs of families at such a personal level. Thank you for making this possible for these precious families. Thank you! May God bless you mightily for your contribution! We will provide meals for Christmas/Hanukkah as well. If you wish to be a part of this distribution, indicate CW Pantry in the memo portion of your check. You can also contribute from our website.

As I prepare to cook my favorite meal of the year for my family, I think about the things I am so thankful to the Lord for today. My Mom, her calling to the Nations and the ongoing drive to bring healing to those Nations. I am thankful for the Lord's healing work in her life. I am thankful for each person who works/volunteers for this ministry. And, I am very, very thankful for you! It is your love, prayers, and continued support that keeps us moving forward!

Love and blessings to you and your families from me and my extended WFJM/CW/Joel's Army family as you celebrate Thanksgiving.

Following is the first installment in "The Cry Inside." It is a compelling article that will drive you to your knees again, and again.

"The Cry Inside"

Part A

Transcription of New Orleans Teaching

Psalm 42:7 [Roaring] deep calls to [roaring] deep at the thunder of Your waterspouts; all Your breakers and Your rolling waves have gone over me.

During our series; "The 12 Pillars God", the Lord came to me and instructed me to stop teaching on that subject, and begin ministering on prayer. I wrestled with interrupting the series because His instruction to teach on the Pillars of the Kingdom also rang very strong within me. However, He won. The message on prayer became such a pressing issue in the Spirit, and He put such a strong directive on it in my heart, I knew the time was now.

The Bible says: "I was compelled." And, I was. At that point, there was no way I could not teach on prayer, not that I am the one who will be teaching because what comes from me tonight, was given by the Lord through vision.

I was compelled. This was more than a vision; it was an experience wherein I found myself trekking through a swamp lined with alligators on either side. I was trying to get to the other side of this swamp. At that time, the Lord said to me: I want you to continue to keep ministering on prayer, it is urgent. Though, for a moment, you are going to walk through the swamp, you will come to the other side. You must stay obedient.

The commission to speak with you on the topic of prayer is from the Holy Spirit and is not a light matter. In fact, it is very serious, which is why I spent a great deal of time in prayer, to hear His heart on this particular message. I wanted to hear His heart. I needed to hear His heart specifically for this message, so I could convey it to you.

He told me to teach on Psalms 42:7.

Psalm 42:7 [Roaring] deep calls to [roaring] deep at the thunder of Your waterspouts; all Your breakers and Your rolling waves have gone over me.

Deep calls unto deep.

Many years ago the Lord took me into Himself and taught me about the human soul; I'd like to share this experience with you. I do not know exactly how to describe this experience. For those who have been a part of some of these (New Orleans) messages you will know what I mean when I say; He took me into Union.

The Lord took me into Union in a very special way and taught me a little about the beginnings of our soul. He began to share with me that when we were born, we were born with a yearning deep in our inner man. This is where the Spirit of God resided in Adam before he fell. Each person is born with that yearning to return to God. Here we are just a matter of hours, days, weeks and months old and this hunger lies deep within us to return to God. This hunger comes from the place where His Spirit dwells within the believer now; It dwells in hunger. The unbeliever does not feel, sense, or even hear the cry of the inner man's desire to return to its resting place in Him; nevertheless, it is occurring. It is not even perceptible at a conscious level. The only way we would be aware of this process is if God allowed us to be aware.

Once we get saved, the hunger in our heart begins to grow. It is a very strong hunger coming forth from our "emotion" or "heart" area. The hunger compelling our lives is much bigger than what we can see or even understand.

Let me equate it to this; if you are out on a ship in the deep sea around Alaska and you see an iceberg the size of a mountain heading north. You might think; boy, what a huge iceberg! The ship you are on keeps moving along when you see another iceberg heading south– only this one is very small. Based on this information, you conclude: there are very large icebergs and very small icebergs. Then you remember that these two icebergs were heading in opposite directions in the same ocean. How can that be? Chances are, the icebergs are very close in size with one more visible from the surface and the mass of the other, located below the surface of the water. As a result, its direction is compelled by the undercurrents running opposite those on the surface.

This is the same thing that happens to us. We have surface currents that are sensing either the world or the call of God. Then, we have undercurrents that go into the deep recesses of who we are. Located in the deepest places of that undercurrent, is a hungering for God. God Himself put that hunger in place when Adam and Eve fell. He had to withdraw His Spirit from that place within man; and in the void, He placed this hunger. Had He not done that, who would have ever gotten saved? We return to God because we are called. This is not a decision that we mindlessly do; we return to God because deep within, there is a call to come to Him. So here we are just hours, and eventually years old, and yet the call from within remains. And, the cry to be touched by the living God continues.

The hunger to return to your roots and rest in Him is so painful to the soul that mankind begins looking for things to satisfy that pain. What they do not realize is that they are looking for a way to silence the call of God. They are looking for something that will help make the pain stop. They look for love, and if they cannot find it in the right places, then they will simply look for it in the wrong places. They will turn to drugs, alcohol, and sexual behavior, even a love of materialism in the vain attempt to silence and satisfy the deep pain brewing within. We look to harden our heart, so we do not feel the pain associated with it; because although the pain is imperceptible at the surface, it is acute deep within.

God is calling you, and while He is calling you, the world is like a vacuum sucking you in. Gravity around the earth’s surface keeps us from falling off the earth, right? Therefore, gravity has a pull. I believe one of the reasons for gravity, and why we can put a name on it, is because God is revealing something about our condition. He wants us to understand that while the physical world has a gravitational pull, the spiritual world also has a gravitational pull, and it pulls on your soul through your spirit. We are spirit-beings meaning; even before you get saved and come to Him, you are spirit.

No human being can live without the vital spiritual connection to the spirit world that we all possess. In other words, if we are not connected to God then we are automatically connected to Satan. Therefore, if we are not answering the drawing that resides deep within our inner man to return to God, then the gravitational pull of the satanic kingdom is going to pull us in its direction. The pull will become stronger and stronger, growing until, at last, it silences the call to return to God.

When we think we have hardened our hearts to silence the pain, what we have really done is attempted to fill a spot intended only for God with whatever we can find; and then because God is not allowed to return to His place, idolatry is established in the root of our being. In fact, when we begin to satisfy our hunger for God with anything other than Him, an idolatrous temple is established inside our inner man, and corruption begins to take place.

As a Christian have you ever gone near a temple where they practice idolatry, and you can just feel the negativity in the atmosphere? That same type of corruption sensed around that temple is taking place inside the inner man when we are not responding to His call. This is the reason that answering the call of God to return to your place of rest is so critical. Every day you do not answer it, you are building up corruption within and hardening your heart, making it more difficult to return to that rest.

Roaring deep calls to roaring deep.
At the thunder of your waterspouts.
