Dear Friends and Intercessors,
Next week is our Phone Gathering of the Eagles! Mom (Nita) phoned me this morning to share an exciting revelation the Lord had given her, and as much as I want to share this with you now, it must wait until next week. She and I will share it on Tuesday (9/27/22) so please make every attempt to join this call! It’ll be the first night of the Gathering of the Eagles!
Why is the Gathering of the Eagles so critical? There is an anointing that rests specifically on the Gatherings. Nita was mantled to hold the Gathering of the Eagles back in 1999. As an affirmation of this, the Angel of Reformation came in our very first Gathering. This signaled the reformation to begin, and we are walking out this reformation still today.
The Gathering of the Eagles carry a specific anointing which enable us to do deeper repentance, intercession, and higher levels of warfare over our nation than any other time. There is also a protective covering over our time together. One never wants to engage in high level warfare without His Divine covering.
This Gathering is a critical step for the country considering the risks we are facing in the upcoming election this November. I want to assure you, God has given America to be free, but our faithfulness as intercessors helps unlock the full potential God has set in store for our nation and there will be a day, in the very near future, that we will see that potential realized.
The work we do throughout the year—between Gatherings—is essential to the preparation of the Gathering itself. Joel’s Army is part of that work, building up and stabilizing the states within not only our nation, but every nation that has a member of Joel’s Army since 2012. Joel’s Army trains up the warriors that enter the Gatherings and I see how that impacts the Gathering as today, we enter an even higher level of intercession when we come together.
What a beautiful symphony this must be to our Lord. His people, filling the bowls of heaven with their intercession! Together, we enter His presence, and make way for His House of Prayer!
In times of great tribulation, we know that God promises victory to those who seek His face. Is that not what we saw in the prayer Solomon prayed in 2 Chronicles chapters 6 and 7? Solomon, in his great wisdom, led his people in a prayer of repentance that would guide them on a path to enter the House of God. Jesus said this was designated to be the House of Prayer in Matthew 21:13.
A House of Prayer is a place where we encounter God!
This can be done on a personal level, for a congregation, and even for a nation.
Jesus demonstrated each of these as he went out into the garden or up to the mountains, to find a place of solitude and refuge from the press and political oppression that was occurring in His life and ministry. Some of those prayers are recorded leaving us a legacy of intercession to follow. He sought the face of God for guidance, wisdom, understanding and so on, each and every day. He prayed for us in those prayers, that we will fulfill His will by bringing God’s heavenly will down here on earth and becoming one with Him (Matthew 6:9-15 and John 17).
Paul taught us to pray and grow in God through our intercession sometimes leaving us with several prayers in one epistle. (Ephesians 1:15-19, 3:14-19, 3:20-21, 6:10-20, Colossians 1:3-4, 1:9-12, upwards of 40 prayers are recorded from and by Paul)
Peter and James demonstrated a profound prayer in the midst of persecution in Acts 4:21-31. James is recorded as having elephant knees by the time he died due to the long hours he spent in prayer. In short, prayer is an essential element of our walk with God.
These are critical, yes, but repentance, intercession and warfare on a national level is essential for a move of God. It’s this upcoming move of God that will bring healing to the nation.
I do see prayer returning to the nation, and the sacrifice of prayer is what will save our nation.
I return to Solomon’s prayer as he led his nation into the presence of God.
2 Chronicles 7:12-16 (AMPC) says:
“And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night and said to him: I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. If I shut up heaven so no rain falls, or if I command locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer offered in this place. For I have chosen and sanctified (set apart for holy use) this house, that My Name may be here forever, and My eyes and My heart will be here perpetually.”
His prayer and the Lord’s response encompasses both personal and national repentance. Again, this is necessary for His intervention and outpouring. Both of which the Lord promises to those who seek His face.
The Lord is building a House of Prayer through His people today. More repentance and intercession have gone up in the last two decades than in the last century. And more repentance and intercession has gone up in the last two years than in the last two decades. The sacrifice of prayer is a holy thing, treasured by God as He sends forth His angels to collect our prayers and fill the bowls of Heaven. There is a tremendous escalation wherein the people of God pursue Him with an unprecedented hunger until He has no other option but to rise from His lofty throne and pour Himself out upon our land!
Praise be to our Lord for this is what we are about to see in our land! The outpouring of our Lord!
My friends, will you join us as we seek His face on behalf of our nation? Will you join us next week to hear about the exiting things God is, and will be doing in our land? Oh what an exciting season we are in!
This week is a week of preparation for our team as we embark upon our upcoming Gathering of the Eagles. As such, we will not have our prayer calls Thursday or Friday. We will, however, have prayer Wednesday morning 10:20-Noon.
Then, Tuesday-Friday, September 27-30, 2022, we will have our Phone Gathering of the Eagles. Mark your calendar and together we will join in brining forth His Heavenly will here on earth!
Blessings & love,
Ricci Johnson-Wilson
