Subject: "Leave Egypt and Prepare" Part C by Nita LaFond Johnson

This Week's Events:
Dear friends,

I pray you all had the opportunity to read Nita’s May 29th message entitled: “The Plan”. This featured a tremendous message of faith with fulfilled promises from our Lord when we, as intercessors, take the step of obedience and answer the call to prayer. Multitudes have been saved from tragedy as a result of the obedience of the intercessors. If you haven’t had a chance to read this message, please go back to it (or click here) and allow God to build up your faith in preparation for this week when we come together to intercede over the East Coast. Please see the schedule to the right and make every attempt to join Nita Johnson beginning tomorrow on our Corporate Prayer Call as she leads us in intercession to save the East Coast.

As a reminder, we have an opportunity in Chicago for both existing Joel’s Army members and those interested in joining Joel’s Army to meet with Kin and Debbie Clark for one day only - June 20, 2015. Details (including pre-registration information) can be found on the Schedule of Event’s page of our website.

God is moving in His people my friends! He is calling the intercessors to come forth for it is through the prayers of His saints that Nations are saved! Our DC, Gathering of the Eagles is August 24-28, 2015 and we have less than 100 seats available. If you haven’t registered, and plan to join us as we stand in the gap for our Nation, click here and complete your registration!

Blessings & love,
Ricci

Following is the first installment of “Leave Egypt and Prepare". I pray it will help you prepare for the days ahead.

Leave Egypt and Prepare

Part C

See, we love the Lord and His kingdom and His righteousness—that isn’t about money or not about money. That isn’t the issue at hand; the issue is conforming the soul to His righteousness. What is His righteousness? Paul says that the law is fulfilled in divine love, so His righteousness is first and foremost love such as Christ loves—divine love. Love, joy, peace, gentleness, kindness; all of these things and so much more: this is the kingdom of righteousness. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. It isn’t just the righteousness given by His blood, which is the beginning; there must be a deeper seeking for the nature and character of God. By the time you get done being formed into His image, nothing that He is going to give you is going to matter. Your love is for Christ, for relationship with Him, to walk before Him; to be pleasing to God in all things; to serve God and His people and to serve His call in all things—whatever that may mean. When He adds to you, you don’t even notice it and you better not, because the minute you do, you’re starting to get into trouble. I know that this isn’t what you’ve been taught, but all scripture is for edification and what we’ve been taught should’ve been balanced out by the scripture they forgot to read. This is not about making Moses, this is about showing us the way of faith, and you’ll know where your heart stands pertaining to all this by how much fear you live in regarding the coming calamities. If that brings a lot of fear to your heart, then you’re not in faith and your heart is set upon the wrong things.

If we had been taught from the beginning how to fully put our trust in God, by the time these things begin to happen, we would be so strong in God we wouldn’t worry ourselves about them; but we weren’t taught quite right.

Hebrews 11; 27[Motivated] by faith he left Egypt behind him, being un-awed and undismayed by the wrath of the king; for he never flinched but held staunchly to his purpose and endured steadfastly as one who gazed on Him Who is invisible.

I love this, because I want to tell you that that is what you’re called to do. Some people think everyone else or anyone else but especially the prophets are called to see the face of God, but not them. The truth is that we are all called to behold the face of God—it is true. We are all called to leave Egypt behind as we gaze continually upon the face of God and I can promise you that the more you gaze upon the face of God, the more you want Egypt removed from your soul. You realize it is a heavy burden, an unbearable yoke to the soul.

Your soul, my dear brothers and sisters, was never created to house Egypt. It was never created to house the pyramids and everything that Egypt stands for. Your soul was created to house God and only God. When you love anything other than what and who He is, you are putting corruption into your soul. “Oh, I love that picture, I’ve just got to have one”—you have just placed corruption into the place that is holy. Save your passions for Jesus, don’t allow your human passions to touch anything in this world. If you own a car, be as one who does not own a car; do not let it enter your heart. If you own a house be as one who does not own a house; do not let it enter into your heart. Material possessions come and go. Who cares, as long as Christ is filling all and all?

Moses had to come to a palace where his focus was riveted on Christ; he be-held Him, as the Bible says: steadfastly. It wasn’t like he was looking at Jesus one minute and the world the next. Riveted steadfastly on Christ; that means everything you do, you do for your love for Him and to please Him. You don’t do it to please your neighbor, your wife or husband or your children, you do it to please Him. Everything is riveted on Christ. When you work, you don’t do it to please your boss, you do it to please the Boss, Jesus Christ. Your focus is riveted on Christ. Then, even though your are physically in the workplace or marketplace, because you are riveted on Him, your soul is continually moving into the cleansing process that makes you holy, which is your highest desire. You want to be holy not only because you’ve learned the ways of holiness, but you want to be holy because He Himself has made you holy deep in your soul.

I’ll never forget the first time I experienced that—ever. I was ministering in church. I finished ministering and walked outside into the corridor and suddenly my soul was filled with the holiness of God, the pure holiness of God. I never experienced anything like it before. It was way deep down in my soul; there was no self-life or worldly connections or interludes, pulls or little tiny foxes. It was all pure and holy; His holiness—not mine. It wasn’t about who I was, it was about Who was in me and I was filled with the holiness of God. I started crying; I said, “Lord, I just finished teaching on holiness, but I’ve never known anything like I’m feeling right now, that the soul could be so filled with you holiness; this purity that it is like walking around as the temple of the living God.” Then I thought, isn’t that stupid? How many times have we sung, preached and heard about it or talked to our friends about it: “You are the temple or the living God”? And I’m thinking—why did it take me so long to understand? It was just head stuff before and now I’m feeling and living what it means to be the temple of the living God. It was a place to be greatly cherished and highly prized.

Now let me tell you something. The Lord is jealous for His temple. He is jealous for His temple and when Pharaoh begins to stretch that staff forward and the Church begins to come under the great oppressions of Pharaoh, I want you to know that God is jealous for His temple and as you press into Him and seek His face, as you fast and you pray, a cry will rise in your heart, “Lord, I want Your person. Not just in my spirit, but deep in my soul. I want you there in the holy of holies of me.” And He is able to take up His residence there, and woe is to the man who touches you; He’s jealous for His temple and you are His temple; you are precious and much desired by Him. You are so very precious to Him. So much so, that He will reveal His jealousy in this hour for His temple and for His Bride.

...to be continued next week...

In His Amazing Love,
Nita Johnson
