Dear Friends,
CW Blessings Methow Relief Fund: I am deeply touched by your support of our CedarWood Blessings Methow Relief Outreach. The needs of those who have suffered loss of any kind presses on the Lord’s heart and we can see that throughout His Word and it is a burden that we have chosen to carry with Him. This is what CedarWood was created for! Last week, we sent out the call to action and you responded, thank you! Our team is taking supplies up to the region on Thursday. Please pray for their safety as they deliver the much needed supplies to help the families begin to rebuild their lives.
Corporate Intercession: I want to invite you to join us for prayer this week. We are in difficult times and the nations need intercession. We meet four times per week to pray over critical issues facing our nation. If you are a part of Joel’s Army, you will receive the prayer points on Saturdays so you and your PC can pray over them when you meet together. If you have not joined Joel’s Army, then you will hear them when you call in. The call in number and time are listed to the right. If you are interested in learning more about our Joel’s Army Prayer Network, including how to get involved, visit the Joel’s Army page our website at www.worldforjesus.org. The time to pray is now my friends!
Gathering of the Eagles: Our next Gathering of the Eagles is October 6-10, 2014. During our last GOE we prayed over Obamacare – that God would bring down that which is not of Him. I’m sure many of you have seen/heard that there is much unrest in the plan right now. Please continue to pray over this issue.
We also prayed over the
corruption in the Catholic Church and Human Trafficking. Please click here for an article on a recent ruling against Pope Francis.
Please click here for a report of 42 employees of theme parks in Florida who have been arrested and/or convicted of being involved in varying levels of child trafficking.
God is moving and bringing to light the darkness contained in the horrific world of human trafficking! Please join us as we continue to fight for the victims of human trafficking through our intercession and bringing forth awareness of this terrible crime. We praise the Lord for each and every victory!

Maybe you have listened to someone share about their experiences with Jesus. When you walked out, you felt so excited and exhilarated about Jesus. You felt like you were fed because the Spirit of the Lord was there helping you to learn about Jesus. For some people, that is all they want. They are content to merely hear another's experiences. You have to remember that when my people, the Jews, were standing around the bottom of the mountain, and Moses was up at the top of the mountain, they were going to hear about what God had said to Moses. Moses was up there experiencing. There is a huge difference. But they were so happy to learn about God from Moses, and they said to him, “If you will go up through that fiery flame and hear what He has to say, we will do whatever He says.” Of course, we did not obey. That is because the truth is, that if you are not willing to go through the fire to get the truth, you will not live by it when you receive it. Those who are content to hear about the experiences of another are really those who are content to not experience it. We draw our own limits and boundaries. Of course, if we are in the line drawing business, we will, in the end always make it His fault for not doing what we want Him to do. There is a way to get His attention, and there is a way to not get His attention.
When I got saved, my salvation experience was a baptism of divine love. As it poured down upon me, it felt like liquid love. It poured over my head, down through me and out my feet. It flowed over me again and again. I had never felt love like that, ever. I told Him, “If this is Your love—if this is really what You are, I will follow You hard all the days of my life. I want to go as deep in You as a human being can go. That will be my life's quest on this earth. God, I don't care what that means. I am just now, in this very moment desiring You as my Lord and King. So I have no idea what this means. I know nothing. All I know is that I have found love, and I am not willing to settle for less.”
I do not want to be one who only hears a message that says His love is magnetic for all the peoples of the earth. What I want is to be that love. I want to know Him in that love. I want to know what that love is, and I want to walk in it. When His Presence flows through me, I want those who stand in my presence to be drawn to Christ by the love that He has poured within me.
I do not want to merely hear about how He is righteous and willing to make me righteous. I want to understand His righteousness in the way that Paul said—to have no self-achieved righteousness of my own, but only His righteousness alone. I want to walk in a life that is so pure because His righteousness fills me through and through. It is not my own righteousness, a self-righteousness which accomplishes nothing, yet which a lot of Christians walk in. They think they are honoring God with their self-righteousness. They do not know differently, so please do not judge them. I want to walk in that righteousness that is God alone. The Bible says that He is my righteousness. That means I have to be willing to look at the depths of the ugliness in me. Not many are willing to do that. They do not want to see of what they are really made, no do they want to hear about it. If God convicts them, even convicting frequently at times, after coming out from the counsel of the Lord, they go right back to where they were before. These are just like James said, “For if any be a hearer of the Word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.” (James 1:23-24) These have no real hearts to know what must go so that He can fill you, all in all. I am telling you this as a warning if you really want to know how to walk with God.
I do not want to merely hear that He is a holy God, and that I need to get my act together. I want to experience His holiness and moreover, I want to be holiness unto the Lord. Is that possible? Yes! But you have to be willing to come to the foot of the cross. The old man has to die. When you are genuinely serious about it, He will begin to reveal Himself to help you desire the dying. He will let you behold and experience Him. Now isn’t it crazy to want to die? How can anyone in their right mind want to die, especially if they do not know what gain it may bring them?? Am I telling the truth? If you are taken into the Presence of His holiness—even once—then ever after, you never again need be told why you must be holy. Experiencing that holiness tells you everything you will ever need to know for the rest of your life. Not only do you experience the beauty, awe, purity, power and majesty of His holiness, but you also get to fully experience you, by contrast. Believe me, the two are not comparable. As a result, something in you becomes driven to abolish that which offends Him. The quest of the sincere in heart is for His beauty, glory, majesty and all that He is. What a life! He is the light and life of men. The soul is so fragile. There are many things that He could do in us, but which He will not do because of the fragility of our soul. We want Him to do certain things in us that we know need His ministry, and we expect Him to just do it supernaturally. We may say, “Lord, don't worry about whether or not I am involved. Just go ahead.” But the soul is so fragile. It is not in His heart to destroy first in order to remake afterward. His heart is to strengthen your soul by the power of His Spirit so that you can know Him, experience Him and die in Him. It requires the strengthening of the Lord to be able to do that. A new babe in Christ cannot do what someone who has determined to walk with Him like that for twenty years can do. This is because the soul of a babe in Christ cannot bear up under what it would take, unless there was a lot of purity even in childhood. He must first strengthen. You must be a person who loves and devours the Word. You must love the reproof of the Word. When you come before the Word, you want this sort of truth to enter into your heart to reveal what must be revealed and remove what must be removed, just as the Bible says.
Hebrews 4:12, 13 Amp. For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. And not a creature exists that is concealed from His sight, but all things are open and exposed, naked and defenseless to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do.
Now this sword is exacting. It goes into the heart and it begins to separate, little by little, as much as you desire and can handle. It separates the thoughts and desires of the soul and flesh from the thoughts and desires of the Spirit. It cuts asunder between soul and Spirit, the Bible says. You need the Word to perform this exacting surgery, but it is not enough to only read the Word and then not do it. We fool ourselves.
To be continued next week...
In His Amazing Love,
