Dear Friends,
Our Portland Gathering of the Eagles was an amazing time of prayer and we look forward to sharing details in the days ahead. One thing I want to share now, however, was an historic event that occurred last week providing tremendous encouragement to each of us during our time in prayer: in an unprecedented move, President Trump spoke at the annual March for Life event in Washington, DC! He also signed a proclamation declaring January 22, 2020 as “National Sanctity of Human Life Day!” After 47 years of prayer, marches, letters, and advocacy to end the horrific crime against women and the most innocent, the pre-born citizens of our nation, our duly elected President took a firm stand against abortion! This is a tremendous victory for LIFE, and we must continue to pray until we see Roe v Wade overturned!
We certainly rejoice in these tremendous victories however we cannot grow weary in our intercessions in 2020. What we see happening in our nation this week is another unprecedented event: a partisan impeachment trial based on hearsay. While the continued efforts of the media and democratic party to convince the American people that President Trump is guilty of ‘something’ over this past three years is a tragic stain on our country’s history, the truth is, it’s exposing the swamp more than ever and we should not pray in fear. We must pray in faith and believe for complete exposure of the truth through this unwarranted trial.
The corruption is further emphasized by the stark contrast between the swamp and President Trump’s continued actions to strengthen our country’s economy, military, minority groups, and establish our energy independence. He’s brought hostages home, saved persecuted Christians around the world, and visited our troops on Christmas. Each of these accomplishments deserve to be celebrated. Instead, we either hear crickets or frenzied tantrums from the DC & media swamp.
President Trump accomplishes so much for us amid the greatest adversity of any president in recent history. Still, what grips my heart today, is the answer to prayer that we have in President Trump: he is truly a Pro-LIFE President, seeking to restore religious liberty in our schools and give the Church back her voice! Friends, we didn’t realize how important this was until it was gone, and then it was too late.
Through prayer, we’ve been given a second change! Now is the time to engage my friends, lift your faith as a child of God, and faithfully stand in the gap for God’s choice for our Nation! President Trump needs our prayer support!
Pray, pray, pray my friends!
