Dear Friends,
God is moving in our midst!
When we began our time of intercession on Thursday, I had a vision of the sky with thick, almost ominous, clouds. They were not dark, however, they were very dense. I feel it's important to note, I saw thick dark clouds over our nation prior to our phone GOEs. Our time together during those two weeks cleared the darkness from the sky to pave the way for these ten days in the upper room awaiting Pentecost.
Last night during our prayer time, I had a vision of the sky: the clouds were thinning and in some areas, becoming nearly transparent!
Remember, the sacrifice of our Lord paved the way for us to enter relationship with our Heavenly Father. His ascension, brought the promise of the Holy Spirit, our Comforter, our Teacher... (John 16:7) However, the time spent in the upper room, ushered in the Spirit on Pentecost. Apart from Christ's work on the Cross, this step of obedience ushered in the greatest and most power Gift the body of Christ has. Remember, we have the ability to obey the Commandments only through the gift of the Spirit. We receive forgiveness through His blood, and His Spirit provides grace to obey His Commandments.
This morning in prayer, I considered His Word to me in terms of the thickness of the clouds. The thickest barrier we have between us and our Lord, is the first Table of Commandments--those that deal with the relationship between us and God. We see these encompassed in the words of our Lord, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment" (Matthew 22:37-38)
The next barrier comes in the Second Table--our relationship with our fellow man. Jesus went on to say of the greatest Commandments, "And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
Tonight, we will continue our preparation for Pentecost by repenting of breaking the 5th Commandment, "Honor thy Father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee." The only commandment with a promise.
The Lord says we are making headway in our preparation for Pentecost. Join us tonight as we repent on behalf of ourselves, our city, and our state for our rebellion to our parents, our dishonoring of them, our rejection of their authority and thereby, God's authority in our lives.
If we were not saved when we raised our children, let us repent for not raising them in the love and admonition of our Lord and Savior. Let us also repent if we've provoked our children to wrath as Paul teaches us in Ephesians 6: 1-4.
The enemy's greatest attack is always to the family. Let us seek to restore the bond of family tonight.
We will open the line from 6-7 PM PST (worship music will begin at 5:45 PM) to come in and repent for your city, state and country.
You have God-given authority in your state, our prayer is that we'd have someone from each state on and able to pray during this important period before Pentecost. Come and pray with us tonight.
Our desire is to comfort the heart of God with our repentance and intercession and await His visitation as we head up to Pentecost.
See you tonight! 6-7 PM PST (worship will begin at 5:45) Blessings & love you! Ricci Wilson
