Subject: "How To Walk With God" Session 4 Part B

Dear Friends,

Our DC, Gathering of the Eagles, 2016 was incredibly powerful! God moved among us and allowed us to enter into a level of repentance and intercession in order to pave the way for His will do be done in this Nation! Our deepest thanks to the attendees of the Gathering, those who joined in on the GOE Reserve Calls, as well as those who supported the work financially. Your sacrifice will surely bring forth fruit in the days ahead. Thank you!

Our next Gathering of the Eagles is in Seattle this December 8-10, 2016. I sent out a notice Sunday and many already registered, I encourage you to check your schedules and register early as this event is limited to 300 attendees and fills up fast. Click here for details including our registration link.

Fill The Gap Campaign: The work of the intercessor is hidden, strategic, and vital to the city, state, and nation in which they live. Consider revivals of yesterday; they were birthed out of repentance done by intercessors. Repentance is what appeases the heart of our Lord and stays the hand of judgment. An intercessor doesn't look for fanfare; they look to please the heart of their Father and they hunger for time with their Lord. They weep for those who can no longer weep; they war for those unaware that there is a need for battle. If you find yourself stirred from deep within when you read about injustice, abortion, human trafficking, racially motivated atrocities, chances are God is calling the intercessor within to come forth. Consider joining Joel's Army. We train and prepare intercessors to use the anointing placed upon their lives effectively. Every state should have a representative; we still have Maine, Rhode Island, Iowa, Wyoming, Utah and Puerto Rico left without a covering. Click here for more information including the online application to join Joel's Army.

Corporate Prayer Calls resume this Sunday. We will be covering the elections along with several pressing issues requiring intercession. Check the sidebar on our weekly e-news or "Click here" for our weekly schedule including call-in numbers.

Thank you for standing with us! These are exciting times, and we give thanks to our Lord for the opportunity to serve Him alongside you, in the midst of it all.

Blessings & love,
Ricci Wilson

“How To Walk With God”

Session Four

Part B

By Nita Johnson

NOLA Revival Services June, 2011

From last week…
(Amplified) Matt 22:37: 37 And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).

Listen to me. God is not satisfied until He gets it all and the scariest thing in the Church is that so many Christians believe He has all that He is supposed to have on this side of heaven. I do not know how we can come to that when the scripture says:

If this is true, then how can we believe that we have given Him everything we are supposed to give Him on this side of heaven? God is calling you. His highest priority is preparing Himself a sanctuary within you.

I can remember a time when I was out walking in the park with my dear friend Bonnie. The walk was about two miles, and we would bring scripture cards along with us while we were walking. She would pull a scripture card out and say: Okay, teach on this scripture. Then, as we walked, I would teach.

On this day particular day, I told her wanted to go a little further and teach on three of the scriptures she'd read. As I did, I suddenly found myself in Heaven before the throne of the Father. He was bathing me in a waterfall of love and light. He gave me a very long teaching as this waterfall was pouring down over my soul. The last thing He said to me, "I have waited since before I made man for this hour." How profound that statement was to me! I asked, "Why Lord?" He replied, "From the beginning, before I made man, I had it in My heart that there would be a people that would come forth on the earth and would love Me so much they would give up everything to have all things in Me. They would cleanse their hearts and souls of all things of this world so that they could have all things in Me. I have waited thousands of years for this hour. In this hour, those who love Me with all that they are—their heart, their soul, their mind, and their strength—will come forth. They will love Me; I will come into them and inhabit their soul as My Holy Tabernacle.

We are not talking about the superficial, "I went to church and heard a pastor say..." or "I picked up a good book and the writer happened to mention something to this effect..." We are talking what the Father told me about you. This is why He created earth—for this reason. That in this hour He would have this Commonwealth of people who would let Him own them. This is so exciting and beautiful, right? And the lengthy teaching He went through, before saying those words all contributed to this last statement He made: You do not know desire or passion until you have touched the passion of your God. Then He put one little teardrop of His passion into my heart. His passion for what I just shared with you; for the ownership of these people—their soul, mind, heart and strength. I was overwhelmed by one little teardrop of passion. That passion was so great and intense I thought my entire being was going to burst. To this day I remember it vividly and to this day I do not know how I survived it. One teardrop of passion. You do not know passion until you have touched His passion.

We, the Church, have a false concept of what the Church is supposed to be. I am not sure how to even share this, but the Church has become very soulful—do you agree with that? Christians think the height of our walk is coming to Church where God touches us; we have an excellent time of worship followed by the preaching of the Word, plus, we got to see all our friends. After having a great Sunday we go home feeling refreshed, then halfway through the week you may watch Christian TV and think—man, this is living, this is America, we can get as many doses of Christ that we want! This is not His idea of Church.

There are those precious ones who forsake and give up everything to enter the mission field in foreign countries. Their life is on the line every minute for Jesus, but they never know Him. They live to serve Him but not to know Him, and they have missed it too. It is wonderful if your heart is so filled with passion and love for God and people say that you are willing to give your life to save the lost—that is wonderful!

However, there is something vitally missing if it does not include a hunger and thirst to know God, the One who created you and those out there, for you to reach. Furthermore, only so much can be done unless it's done by the Spirit.

The reason the Church has not evangelized the world is because we haven't learned the spiritual aspect of walking with God. We have our various programs, but they are all flesh and all soul. How can they be anything else if we do not know Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength? Do not only love Him—know Him.

Some people think they will be so happy as a Christian if they can just get married. They believe they will be fulfilled as a Christian if they could just have some kids—but they do not know what they are giving up when what completes them is their children and their mate instead of God. There is nothing wrong with having children or being married—that is not the point. You know, the Lord gave Eve to Adam. That is not the issue. He is the One Who created the institution of marriage and He gave us the great idea of having children. We did not think that one up on our own, so there is nothing wrong with it. It is the Lord’s good pleasure to give that to you, but when you are completed because of those things instead of by Him, you are giving up the best for what is less.

Satan, the god of this world, has spent a lot of time thinking. He has been around for a lot of years and Jesus called Him the genius, did He not? He said he was a genius, so it is obvious Satan is brilliant, and there are no two ways about it. He was the covering cherub and has spent a lot of dangerous time contemplating all that he knows about God and all that he has learned about humankind, and he strives to keep the two apart. He works very hard keeping man sidetracked, dazzled and dazed so that everything becomes more important than returning to your beginning—your Creator.

May I tell you an experience I had? It might help bring understanding. I was in one of the times with the Lord where He opened up Heaven and the Spirit and began to download into me His understanding of things. When He would do that, it would last hours, even days—whatever it took for Him to accomplish His purpose. During these experiences, I lose track of time, and I write as fast as I can, trying to take down everything He says, but I never get it all. One time, in particular, He wanted to help me understand the concept of how we were created to be His temple and to house His Spirit. He talked to me about the baby when it is first born. His little soul is so pure and untouched by sin. There is a place within that little soul that cries out for God—to be restored to God—from the minute it is born.

I can remember my granddaughter Tiffany. She loved the Lord so much when she was an infant that it was mind boggling. You think you have to give someone all this teaching about Jesus for them to love Him enough, but I am telling you—she was an infant. When she just turned 19 months, she gave her heart to Christ, received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues and the language she spoke was Hebrew. Every time she laid down, whether it was to go to bed at night or to take a nap during the day (remember she is a baby) about 10 minutes before she woke up, she would put her little arms in the air, and she would begin to sing in the spirit. She would do that for ten minutes before she would awaken—you could clock it. From the time she got up in the morning until the time she went to bed at night, all she wanted to do was ask questions about Jesus.

When she was three years old, she was in Sunday School, and Jesus opened the door, walked through the door then closed it and came to stand right in front of her little chair and said, "Hi Tiffany, I am Jesus, and you are in My house." She was so excited, and from that day on, Church was never Church. It was, "Mommy I want to go to Jesus’ house." This love could not be satisfied except with more of God, and she was a toddler.

Back to the experience, He was showing me that the moment the baby is born, heaven hears the cry coming from the innermost recesses of that child’s soul. The cry to be restored to its Maker and if the child is not brought back to that place like Tiffany was, then sorrow and pain will begin to form. If they are led out into the world to love the things of the world, the inner pains increase and begin to deepen like cancer burrowing into the skin. Does this make sense? If the soul is not returned to God in the searching, then it will begin to search out anything to stop this silent pain. Whether it is drugs, alcohol, career, addictions of any kind, wanting to be married, wanting to have children—all of these things are a quest to fill the void meant only for our Maker.

To be continued next week...

In His Amazing Love,
Nita Johnson
