Dear Friends,
The purpose of the GOE Reserves is to stand in the gap for those attending the GOE. The Gathering is high-level intercession & warfare; the enemy will do anything he can to distract us from completing our work in the DC GOE. Plus, the outcome of this GOE will determine the future of our Nation. God desires to release His glory – we must accomplish the things He set before us to pave the way for this release!
Let those of us who cannot attend keep those in the trenches covered in our prayers!
Our GOE Reserve Prayer Calls will run:
Monday-Friday, October 10-14, 11:30- 1:00 PM & 8:30-10PM EST 605-562-3140 Access code: 182152#
Our Joel's Army "Fill the Gap Campaign" is still in motion. The Lord is looking for even one righteous to stand in the gap that His hand of judgment might not fall upon our land. State representation is critical. If you are located in, or near the border of, one of the following states: Maine, Iowa, Rhode Island, Wyoming, Utah and Puerto Rico, consider standing in the gap for your state. Click here for details!
Blessings & love, Ricci Wilson

“How To Walk With God”
Session Four
Part A
By Nita Johnson
NOLA Revival Services June, 2011
The greatest commandment: (Amplified) Matt 22:37 “And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).”
That is such a novel idea for a Christian right? As I was trying to figure out what to speak on tonight, I said: Lord, we are talking about walking with, and being close, to You. What do You want me to speak on, Lord? I give Him this idea, and I suggest that one, and after a few hours, this verse is what He gave me. I thought, how appropriate? If we are going to walk with Him, then we need to love Him like this: with all of our mind, heart, and strength.
Some people love the Lord because they love traditions. Some people love the Lord because they love the thought of engaging in religious activities. Others love what they think is the Lord when they see a painting of a cross or something of that nature.
I remember years ago meeting a young Hispanic girl. She was so beautiful in heart and appearance. I asked her how she came to know the Lord. She still had very broken English, but she tried her best to explain to me that she was kneeling down one day before a cross from which the Lord was hanging. She was worshipping Him telling Him how much she loved Him. Suddenly the figure called her by name and spoke to her saying: I Am not on this cross anymore. I resurrected to save your soul, and you do not have to worship me here anymore; you can worship Me in your heart any place you are, and she gave her heart to Him that day.
It strikes me because so many go to the Catholic Church and for at least a few moments, they come home feeling satisfied that they have engaged in a religious ceremony pleasing to God. In this hour, God is looking for those who will worship Him in spirit and truth, neither of which have anything to do with all that we put in between Him and us.
I had a very dear friend whom I love very much; we would pray together occasionally. When I would get deep into the presence of the Lord, He would tell me that my friend was not with me. I would say: But Lord, she is worshipping You and her heart is in adoration of You. Every time He would say: No, she is not with you in this place; she lets you stand between you and Me. I would say: Lord, I will move out of the way so that she can see You. He said: She will not let you; she will move you right back into that place.
A large percentage of people in the Church put their pastors, Sunday-school teachers, husbands, wives, and even their children before God. What is it that we fear? We want to walk, talk and know Him, right? Why put all these things in front of Him? You say: Lord, I want to worship You, but I have to worship You like this or it is not going to work. Of course, He will not be placed in a box. The heavens cannot contain Him. He has more ideas of how to bring the worshipper into His presence than we have days to fulfill them. I have been in the ministry for over thirty years and have never had any two services alike because He has so many ways He wants to manifest Himself to His people. I do not have that kind of creativity or imagination, but He does. And why does He do that? He does it because He wants you to know that He is a creative God. He may touch one in this way, and then He may have to do something else over here to release the faith to touch someone else; therefore two days cannot be alike.
God is ever changing, and ever revealing all that He is.
(Amplified) Matt 22:37: 37 And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).
We have many compartments in our heart—did you know that? I am not sure how many: forty-nine, fifty, maybe a thousand. I'm not sure, but I do understand that we compartmentalize our hearts and it seems as though we give God our heart one compartment at a time. We get this one opened, cleaned up—ask Him to come in and then we go to the next compartment, and then the next, and so on. Sometimes we will get stuck on a compartment. He knocks on the door, and we do not answer, or we'll tell Him we'll deal with it later, not now. Have you ever done that?
He knocks on a compartment so gently, but we fear the pain that lies within that chamber. We do not realize that if He opens a compartment like that, He exposes the pain to remove it from us. The pain is there, and it is going to stay until He does, so it is not like you are running away or hiding. Although, you think you are and we do not realize that this one compartment can keep us from the highest and best in Him.
When I was a child, I had some problems with my dad. When I was around a year old in the Lord, I was in worship and prayer all day long. The Lord said to me: I Am going to heal you of your dad because I want to reveal My Fatherhood to you. That was frightening. I wanted to be healed, but I did not know what that would mean and to see Him as the Father was scary to me.
We all have these compartments that we have not given over to the Lord. Sometimes a compartment is a rebellion, stubbornness or self-righteousness, all of which are huge problems in the Church. Fear of the unknown, fear of intimacy - that is big with men. You do not honestly want to be afraid of God, but fear of intimacy is huge with men. I have had pastors tell me: Men are not the intimate ones, they are not the praying people—that is for the women who like intimacy and men like the power. Pastors have been very honest about this with me. I talk about intimacy wherever I go, and pastors just shiver at the thought. I tell them: How is it that all of the prophets were men? Intimacy with God. Your most important figures in the history of the Church—men—again, intimacy with the Father. So, how is it today that they have allowed themselves to believe a lie that they are not cut out for intimacy with the Lord when the foundation of the prophets and apostles are men?
So we have all of these things in our head that keep us from being able to love the Lord our God with all of our mind, heart, soul and strength. Sometimes it is anger—we are just mad at God. Sometimes we do not even know we are angry with God. We think we are mad at circumstances or the way things went when we were kids and do not realize that underneath all that, we are angry with God. So we give Him all this superficial stuff to keep Him at from coming near that sacred door. (Amplified) Matt 22:37: 37 And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).
Listen to me. God is not satisfied until He gets it all and the scariest thing in the Church is that so many Christians believe He has all that He is supposed to have on this side of heaven.
To be continued next week... In His Amazing Love, Nita Johnson
