Dear Friends,
We are two months from the elections, and your prayers are certainly making a difference in our Nation! Thank you for your faithfulness to pray. Thank you for your commitment to the future of our Nation. As I shared a few weeks ago, our prayers are not just for the next four years; they are (potentially) for the next forty as our next President will select two-five Supreme Court Justices to sit on the bench during his term as President. This is our opportunity to see the scales tilt to the side of righteousness once again! The next four years will forever alter the course of our Nation, and today, we are making headway through our intercessions. God called us to stand in the gap for the Nation, and we will continue to do so until His will pours out over our land.
Nita joined us Thursday night to provide insight for prayer along with encouragement to the intercessors. For those able to join, and those who listen to the recording posted in our Intercessor's Vault, I'm sure you came away with a newfound zeal to press through until we cross the finish line set before us.
What is your passion, my friends? Is it to witness the Lord's desires in the lives of your family and loved ones? Is it to see the Lord's will fulfilled in your Church? Is it to see this great Nation, once known as a beacon leading the world to the one true God, finally fulfill her destiny? Perhaps it is all of the above. If so, there is an excellent chance you are an intercessor endowed with the Spirit of our Lord which sparks within your soul a hunger and a thirst to see His glory pour out over our land. Thereby creating a Nation worthy to have its children rise from their desks and place their tiny hands over their hearts and declare: "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. One Nation under GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all!"
My friends if you share this passion, join us this week as we press through this next layer of intercession so we might see His plans and purposes accomplished in our Nation. The fruit of our many years of prayer is about to realized, and while it will take work to push her across the finish line, we will reap the reward. Come and stand with us and let us see the glory of our Lord come forth!
Blessings & love
Ricci Wilson

“How To Walk With God”
Session Three
Part A
By Nita Johnson
NOLA Revival Services June, 2011
We are continuing our series entitled, "Walking with the Lord"—an excellent subject. What else do we have to learn while we are together here? While we are on this earth, why else would we stay except to learn how to walk with Jesus? Some might say “I think I could learn to walk with Him a lot easier if I was in heaven.” The lessons here on earth are so critically important to us; we must remain to learn them. In addition, we do want the rewards and crowns that we gain through our trials and tribulations, crowns that we will ultimately cast at His feet.
Deuteronomy 32:46-47 "He said to them, Set your [minds and] hearts on all the words which I command you this day, that you may command them to your children, that they may be watchful to do all the words of this law. For it is not an empty and worthless trifle for you; it is your [very] life. By it, you shall live long in the land which you are going over the Jordan to possess."
The Word truly is a strength to our soul. Study the Word—study it with the help of the Holy Spirit, Who not only strengthens, but directs the soul, and helps you understand and recognize the God that you serve. When you spend time meditating on the Word, you begin to realize that you hear a "voice" as you read the words. It is not your voice. It is a very sweet and pure man’s voice—it is His voice. When He comes and talks to me, it is the same voice I hear when I meditate on the Word. Now I do not suppose everyone experiences this, but if you just ask the Lord to help sensitize you, I believe you can, because whether you hear it in the natural or not, your spirit does. If you want to hear His voice, open the Book. If you want to learn to recognize His ways, spend time in the Word.
Understanding God’s Word comes in layers. When you first start out, salvation means going to Heaven. But the closer you walk with the Lord, the more you understand the varying levels of salvation. You realize that salvation is something that incorporates your deliverance on many different fields, in many different areas. While you have the hope of heaven the day you get saved, would you not also enjoy getting rid of some undesirable things in your character and the love of the things of the world?
So there is the moment of salvation, and then there is the process of salvation. Remember how we talked about the heart and its many chambers? There is a process of getting the heart fully redeemed and bringing salvation to full completion in this life—if you are willing to pay the price. A lot of Christians are not aware that the Word has many levels of meaning and probably many Christians do not want to be aware of it; they just want to hear the basic Sunday-school teachings. The deeper you walk in God, the more you appreciate, the deeper levels and meanings in the Word. It brings freedom, liberty, and strength to your walk.
I will show you an example; in John chapter 15, John begins by saying he is the vine and the Father the Vinedresser. You read it once and meditate on it, and the Lord reveals to you that this is talking about the fruits of the Spirit on your vine. You might read it another time and realize that what He is saying is the result of giving and the fruit you will bear through your sacrificial giving. One time He will open the Word to you, and it will mean one thing and another time it will mean something else. Have you ever read the Word and suddenly you read a portion of scripture, and it just breaks open inside of you like sweet honey over your soul? Other times you read it and think; wow, this is a letter to me! The Spirit personalizes it so much; it is as if He wrote that chapter to speak directly to you today. You do not read it and think; oh that would be wonderful if it were for me. His Word becomes like a letter from your son or daughter, filling a deep need within you, it is so real. The Holy Spirit is imparting it into your heart; He does this to strengthen your heart in righteousness and to direct your path.
Sometimes you just need to know that Jesus is near, do you not? I can remember a morning not too long ago where I was reading the Word, kind of whizzing through a particular scripture that I'd read many times before, when all of a sudden I realized—wait a minute, this is for me—but why? Lord, what are You trying to tell me? Why do I need this right now?
Later that day I received an email and found out why. As I was reading the email, the Lord quickened the scripture in my heart once again. So I got my directions regarding that particular email earlier in the morning when I was reading His Word. You have gone through similar experiences, right?
Another day I planned to go up into the mountains with a friend and I was spending time in the Word before we left. Through the Word, the Lord said to me: I will make a way in the wilderness, streams in the desert. That scripture came to me in such an interesting way that I wondered why I needed to know that He was going to make a way in the wilderness. So we got in the car heading up to Yosemite, somewhere during the trip, in the middle of nowhere, the rear axle on the car broke. The person with me fell apart. I tried to calm her saying; let us not fret, the Lord has already assured me that He was going to make a way in the wilderness, and that is precisely where we are, isn't it?
To make a long story short, not only did He make a way for us in the wilderness (and this was before we all had cell phones) but two people also got saved. It was incredible how God orchestrated everything.
Continued next week.
In His Amazing Love, Nita Johnson
