May I share an example of something I experienced with Him when He was trying to make this so real to me? I saw into the threshold of heaven, and He had a particular crown on that turned out to be the crown of David. The crown on His head kept alternating in appearance between a cylindrical crown of light and a crown of thorns made of light. It appeared as a tubular crown made of light, and then it turned into a crown of thorns which again was made of light with light. Then it turned back to the crown of light, and then to the crown of thorns, and so on, back and forth. He asked me, "Would you like to come to heaven?" I said, "Oh yes, Lord." Immediately, my soul went out of my body and started moving upward toward the ceiling when suddenly, He said, "No. Not yet." And I was forced to go back into my body.

The minute I re-entered my body, I began to feel, in the atmosphere all around me, the atmosphere of Harlem. It was like Harlem was all around me! I could feel the spirit of murder, the spirit of hate, the spirit of fear, the spirit of corruption, the spirit of covetousness, and the spirit of lust. Every evil thing was all around me as soon as I went back into my body. It became more and more intense until it was so extreme I could not bear it. I could feel the spirit of lies and the spirit of deception. What have I not covered? Out of all the evil this presence I could be feeling—they were all there. I became so frightened that I begged Him to remove this. I didn’t understand why it was surrounding me in that manner. All I knew was that I was, by now, terrified.

Finally, when it reached a crescendo, and I really could not take any more, He removed it. In its place, He began to reveal Himself: His goodness, His kindness, His love, His mercy, His holiness, and His compassion. Everything that He is began to manifest. It flowed from Him, filling the room, one characteristic at a time. It was so magnanimous that I was again drawn up out of my body toward Him like a magnet. When I nearly touched Him, He said, "It's not time. Go back to your body."

The minute I entered my body, Harlem was all around me again. I cried out, begging Him, "Please remove this! This atmosphere is so frightening!

When I could not take any more, He removed it. Once again, all of His characteristics and virtues began to emanate from Him, flowing down from Him and filling my room, the chief of which was TRUTH. He is Truth! I saw that there was no darkness in Him. There was no untruth in Him in any way. You do not know what it means to be in front of One who is completely absent of deception or darkness—and in contradiction is just pure Truth. I desired Him so much that it was unbearable, and I started to leave my body again and float toward Him. He said, "Nita, it's not time. Go back down into your body." When I re-entered my body, He said to me, "I've let you experience your God who is all Truth and what it means to be Truth. And I let you compare it to the world in which you live." Was I living in Harlem at that time? No. But that is the world; Harlem is like a microcosm of the world.

Jesus cannot lie. It is not that He will not—He cannot. He does not know how to lie. It's like the key that might trigger one to lie does not exist in Him. He cannot lie. He will never lie to you. He will never lie to me because He is not capable of it. And boy, are we glad because I want to tell you that if He were not truth, we would not exist. Everything He created, He created because He is Truth. He can create it because He is Truth. So praise God, that in being Truth, He is holy. Because He is holy, He created us and we have something we can stand on. What I mean is that the earth can exist because He is Truth and because He is holy. I want you to think, as you read this, and as you get up in the morning, that you are here and able to experience life because God is Truth.

If He says it, and He puts no criteria on it, then it is going to happen. In other words, if He does not say, “I will do this if you will do this,” then it is going to happen, regardless. When He called forth the deluge, nothing could have stopped that because whatever He says is going to come to pass because He is Truth. He cannot tell a lie. Do you understand? If He says He is going to do something, He already knows what it is going to take to make it happen a long time before it happens. He said, "Before they call, I will answer." (Is 65:24) David said, "You knew me before I was in the womb. You knew all my days." (Ps 139:16) So when He speaks, He speaks knowing all things. It is an amazing thing that you can worship a God who has no new experiences. All experience is in Him already. Everything that is going to happen, from the beginning until the end of time, He already knows, and He is working in the midst of what He knows. He is Truth. He is all Truth. He is completely Truth.
